SD 2/7 New claim.
First time posting but the wait is just too much now. Thanks to everyone, it's so helpful to know that others are going through the same. My daughter is 7, almost 8 diagnosed GDD, on pathway for ASD & ADHD and just awaiting diagnosis for Dyspraxia. I wasn't going to post til I got a decision but I feel others in July now will be hanging on to all you Junies threads like me 😊 Good luck to us all.

Close scan dates! Hopefully looking at November it’s been such a long and painful wait. 🤞 and good luck back at ya x

JodiexXXXx · 11/10/2024 15:07

Rang today, told not to call back till the 12th of November as that’s when it will be 20 weeks hoping I’ll hear before that tho scan date 25/6

Loupenny25 · 11/10/2024 17:35

I'm so confused - put in a form that should have been backdated to the 11th April if returned by the 23rd May. Sent it back recorded delivery way before then, later got a letter saying the scan date was the 31/05.

Received a payment today for £516.60 with no text/letter etc which divides down to 18 weeks of low rate care or low rate mobility on its own. 18 weeks ago was the 8th June but it doesn't divide by any other amount. We were hoping for HRC and LRM, do they sometimes pay them separately? Or does that mean we've only been awarded LRC and not backdated to 11th April. I'm so stressed and confused!!

If the scan date is after the date they gave to send back it will be back dated from the scan date. So you would've been backdated 18 weeks low rate care or mobility. It would have been processed last week. You can always ring them Monday and they will explain and you can an MR to appeal it.

Hanacrusis · 11/10/2024 19:41

@AugustLily Nearly scan date buddies, I think our SDs are 12/07 and 15/07 for my boys. Good to have an idea when we should hear by…

sounds like they've backdated to 31st May because the money takes 3-5 days from decision, to go in. mine is 18 weeks to 3rd June and i got my decision on Tuesday. I'd call them and notify them of the error, and then separately do a MR to get a higher rate.

Yes if it was received late you will only be backdated to scan date.

Was the increase in your tax credits automatic or did you have to make them aware etc? Thank you xxx

Moanalot6 · 12/10/2024 10:42

I've just received a letter to say my MR will.be looked at within 11 weeks. Is this just standard and still working at 25 weeks or has the queue dropped? X

Princess23 · 12/10/2024 11:03

No think thanks just a automated thing or something on the system this is what’s causing all confusion with ppl waiting have read on here most are waiting 20 weeks plus I got one over a new claim the other day and it’s got will hear within 15 weeks don’t know we’re the heads at if they tell ppl the right time scale then they wouldn’t have so many phone calls joke x

Kelsta1979 · 12/10/2024 11:35

Omg I'm so happy, received a text message at 10.20 today to say my child qualifiers, words cannot describe the relief I now feel as I'd convinced myself we'd be denied, unsure of the rates but am happy to receive anything. Scan date was 6/6 so 18 weeks an 2 days ..

That's a standard letter and they still 25 weeks wait roughly for MR

It's normally about £75 extra if you receive MRC or £112 HRC a week in tax credits, makesure they have you added to the claim so you get it back dated because you won't be able to claim it back when you move to UC as it's a nightmare to chase it up. Just makesure it is on so it's not a mistake on the system and you have to pay back for their mistakes, if that makes sense

They have gone from 31/05 as your scan date isn't within the 6 weeks timeline, best phone up and ask what you got awarded to only get £516

Yes that looks like 18 weeks of LRC

Loupenny25 · 12/10/2024 14:31

Ruelzdontapply · 11/10/2024 20:02

Yes if it was received late you will only be backdated to scan date.

Thanks all, it's just frustrating as it wasn't received late (they received it about 10 days before the stated return date) but obviously it sat there for ages before being scanned in. I thought they classed it from when it was delivered to them and not when they scanned it.

If I'd realised they were classing it as returned late I'd have challenged the scan date when we got the letter ages ago. I didn't realise that's what the scan date meant!

MumToThreeLittleOnes · 12/10/2024 20:19

Has anyone from the 5/6 been awarded yet?
