Do you think wait time varies in different postcodes?

Motherlysweet · 15/10/2024 20:42

I personally will not send that evidence if it were to be me.
Though your dd took time to join her peers but she did it anyway.
Secondly,She was able to communicate with her friends and she was happy. Though the teacher has to repeat "line up"twice, but she was able to do it her self.
She is able to request for water.
The only sentence that could have helped as evidence is the last paragraph about struggling to communicate.
I know that some care workers/teachers do play it down sometimes when they talk about your child ,because they also want to sound positive ...
I selected my evidence carefully before sending them because u might just contradict your self.
Probably, the day your child was observed, might just be a good day for her.u are her mother, u live with her and u know her best...

Hope this help but it's always up to you lovely xx

Thank you lovely. She went in on a day they did an activity she absolutely loves. The senco said the teacher is going to do a learning plan for her. She’s only 4 so it’s tricky but I know from experience that girls are very good at masking

It's been a long wait my SD was 16/5 I received a text at 5pm today and my daughter is eligible! I called up friday and they said they were still waiting to hear from the school! I have no idea what she's been awarded as I haven't had a letter or any back pay (not sure when this will happen) but I'm over the moon!

That’s such a long time!!!
was it a new claim? So glad you’ve finally got your award x

Very long time! I'd lost all hope! Yes new claim!

Do you think wait time varies in different postcodes?

I don't think so. It all depends on your scan date so you should hear back by 30/12 as you said your scan date was 12/08.

I am 18 weeks today and I’m so anxious, I’m trying not to call again as I only called last Thursday 😂

Hi. COC scan date 10th June. Anyone else COC around that date? And have you heard anything? Phoned today and said it’s 20 weeks but also heard it can be up to 28 weeks 😩

Hi, my COC scan date is 7th of June, so week 19. I phoned earlier this week and was told we are still in the queue to be be distributed to a DM!

I was told on Friday I'm probably still looking at 2/3 weeks! So it might be sooner! I have my fingers crossed for you that you will find soon xx

Have they told you what the delay is? I spoke to such a nice man last week and he told me why there was a hold up xx

They didn’t, all she said was that I should hear in the next 1-2 weeks so either this week or next.
I’m going to call them again tomorrow and ask if there is any update or what the hold up is, I know they’re saying 20 weeks now though so I don’t have much hope in it being before 😂 x

Hopefully you get someone that gives you more information! It's such a long process! I would keep giving them a call! I was calling weekly!
🤣 I think that's the best way to think! I ended up thinking I probably won't hear anything till next year 🤦🏼‍♀️ xx

AnneD96 · 16/10/2024 08:55

New claims seem to be taking so long others are quick and some over 20 weeks. I’m 19 weeks and 5 days today so going to call for a update and pray there is something to update me on 🤞🏼

I'm COC 7/06 as well, when I phoned Monday was in que to be allocated a DM honestly it's so long now

MrsW12 · 16/10/2024 10:18

I called today to request to receive a text once a decision has been made. The lady told me I’m looking at a decision the middle of November, so another 4 weeks 😫. SD 21/06

Kelsta1979 · 16/10/2024 10:22

My scan date was 6/6, I called last Thursday an was told I was looking at 2 weeks at least and on Saturday I received a text saying my daughter was eligible and i couldn't have been more relieved to have read those words.. Today I received a payment for MRC and LRM back dated 21 weeks.

Sleepy1974 · 16/10/2024 11:33

Hi. Does anyone know roughly how long once it's with a DM? Thanks x

That’s really reassuring. Congratulations on your award.

ThisMerryDreamer · 16/10/2024 13:06

Scan date 21/6

Sent in extra information Friday so called to see if that had been put with claim and it has.

Was told we are in a queue for a decision maker…!

The wait is so frustrating, especially when it was 8 weeks, then 15 now we are nearly at 18 and still no news.

Claiming for a 5 year old with an ADHD diagnosis but I have read the chances are slim for his age and condition.

I cracked and called again!
The man that answered was lovely, he said he has it marked as urgent and it is still in the holding que to go to a decision maker but I will receive a text message once a decision has been made however they are taking anywhere from 15-20 weeks to be done.
exactly 18 weeks today so 2 more potentially to go 🫣 x

Yes I also called today and they said could be 1-2 weeks still as with the DM now

SD 11/06

Pickledeverything · 16/10/2024 16:26

So I called again today as wanted to see if they had recieved my extra info and she said that at 20 weeks it gets sent to a decision maker and then it’s with them for however long it takes. I wish they’d all say the same thing it’s so confusing 🙈 she was lovely though

Amylou844 · 16/10/2024 16:52

They all just tell different stories. It's not fair to leave already stressed parents hanging like this!
