@Shazzle88 what do you mean by inconclusive report for autism x won't this go against your claim hun x

Its says she was assessed and it was inconclusive because they need to see her in a school setting it states that shes going to be reassesed in 6 months after a term in reception so no it wont go against her claim xx

Aussielover · 29/06/2024 14:01

I hope not for you love because my son was diagnosed without being in school whatsoever x and it was confirmed x usually inconclusive means your child wasn't displaying enough autism symptoms and they may think that and decline you x I hope not x but I would have held that inconclusive report back x

I cant lie to them, or hide things! My daughter is verbal and masks alot. All children on the spectrum are different some are very obvious and get diagnosed straight away and some take years to get their diagnosis thats just life. If i get turned down then i can do an mr but at the end of the day shes still going thru assesment x

Also its about care needs not a diagnosis x

Been lurking on these threads since marchπŸ™ˆ SD 11th march. rang yesterday and after counting how many weeks my claim was they said it will be going to the decision maker next week and then can take 2 weeks to make a decisionπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ so clearly no idea where my actual form is in the pileπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ anyone been told this and had a decision made quicker then they stated?

My LB had his first meeting woth peads this week....lots of questions for him and me! Minds abit boggled tbh.
Hes got to have blood tests and depending on those results he will have a dyspraxia assessment....he struggles with fine motor skills and he did struggle with some of the tasks he was asked to do like walk backwards along a line with his heal touching his toes. Ive now also recieved a snap IV questionnaire to complete. Is this for adhd? I never read up much on adhd to me he has many autistic traits....but masks in school often explodes at home. The questionnaire i filled in will be alot different to the answers school tick. They want to see him in 6mnths time. Hes 7.

Any info woukd be great as to what to expect next?

Smith19 · 29/06/2024 14:17

Scan date 5/3 still waiting. Any Feb claims left?

Aussielover · 29/06/2024 14:21

@Shazzle88 by not submitting something doesn't hide something it protects your daughter if she's entitled because I assume you've sent other things and it doesn't give the dm chance to decline because of that x because to me inconclusive means she wasn't showing enough for a paediatric to make a decision for a diagnosis and evidence is everything when claiming x I'm not trying to upset you x I'm glad your prepared tho good luck x

Im not upset hun, it isn't pediatrics that are assessing her its the north Warwickshire autism service. I have evidence from all her other professionals confirming her care needs so it should be enough but if not il do an mr, good luck to you too xx

Hi yes the snap form is for CAHMS to decide whether they think the child needs an adhd assessment, I did one for my 6yo daughter and school did one and she was accepted for adhd assessment, I took copy's of schools and sent it as evidence along with acceptance letter and other things and she was awarded HRC LRM x

Thank you!
Our SD is 05/04 so 12 weeks yday! A while yet to wait to see if my boy is entitled.
I did send the form school filled for the peads referal aswel as NHS SALT report 2x private SALT reports OT report and his school SEN plans showing what extra help he gets or uses in school.

Mhow · 29/06/2024 15:44

@KMC93 hey just read your post this sounds very similar to my son. I sent the forms sent to see if he’s right for an assessment (which he his) all filled out by school and the acceptance letter with the wait time for his assessment.
he is not falling behind at school but becomes disruptive etc finds it very hard to concentrate. Does this sound similar? He was awarded LRC no mobility and they decided this within a few hours of it going to a DM. Trying to work out if I should do a MR

Shazzle88 · 29/06/2024 16:32

Lindsey89 · 29/06/2024 13:33

Yeah I rang as they said I would have a decision by close yday but they didn't and she said not to worry they are working over the weekend to catch up should hear something by Monday so I don't know just have wait it out I guess

Whats your scan date hun x

In any of your evidence does the professional talk about the care needs that you have put in the form? So it kind of confirms what your saying xx

Yeah love he’s 6 and I have to have him in a pram or he’s in the roads he’s no sense of danger at all and refuses to walk most of time I have to walk because he hates public transport and refuses to get on it xx

So how the hell have they declined you??? Are they for real!!! And do your letter from professionals state that he has to be in a pram and is unsafe? xx

Hi, yes sounds very similar my daughter she is very disruptive, cannot concentrate, easily distracted and crys alot if not getting her own way, she suffers from bad dreams and sleep talking so has me up all night the list goes on, she has really bad working memory so she is working at reception level but starts year 2 in September, I would definitely do an MR, she gets HRC as I explained her nighttime needs hope this helps x

that sounds so hard for you. Really glad you got the award your daughter deserves.
ok that’s so helpful, thanks! I’m definitely going to consider the MR- he’s easy compared to my ASD 3 year old, but a lot more challenging compared to other his age - always on the go, talking, moving, he tells me when he lays in bed how his body is so tired but his brain cannot turn off.. I’m sure you can relate. Hope your daughter’s sleep improves. I have found with my son it has calmed with age- although he’s very much on the go, he has chilled a bit.
thanks again xx

For 8 year old AdHd- was referal forms completed by school (quite detailed) his ISP from school
for 3 year old ASD (one I’m waiting for) was x2 Speech and language reports (he’s non verbal)
Referral forms for OT, paediatrician, and dietary people (?) and written updates from myself- he’s been referred to LEAP and his nursery completed the people who know bit.
i don’t think I went into enough detail of his lack of sleep at night and how bad his meltdowns can be but I can’t do anymore now. It’s so hard without a formal diagnosis as at the moment just feels like words I’ve written if you know what I mean
what did you send hun? Xx

Haven't you got time to do a sleep diary and send it of special delivery, is it HRC your after? My son has been awarded MRC until August (when he turns 3) then is getting HRC which now I'm trying to fight for HRM under SMI rule to start from August aswell, I got awarded end of May

Shazzle88 · 30/06/2024 09:04

@Mommy2boys30 hey hun. Really hope you get the award your boy deserves. My son is 3 on Friday- do you think it’s worth me calling and saying hold off on decision until then? Worrying now as it’s been with DM since 21/06. Now I want to get sleep diary off too!

Apparently theres a issue with some sky mobile customers not receiving texts that started Friday and it’s not expected to be fixed for another 48 hours πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ trust it to happen at the time I’m mostly likely to get a decision text!
