My first son is 13 and I didn't send 1 piece of evidence and was awarded HRC and lrm for autism and ADHD still awaiting diagnosis we have a lot of school input so I'm not sure if they contacted school .....but it's hope that you can get it without lettered evidence at the end of the day we know them best don't we and like u said it's the form isn't it I really hope everyone gets what they're children deserve this life is hard enough for them isn't it

Thankyou that’s good to no it gives me some hope🤞🤞I should hopefully also have evidence of acceptance of ASD pathway for her before my claim is dealt with and praying that it will all be enough evidence and I’ve gone into enough detail xx

OneTiredMumma84 · 13/06/2024 10:56

I have just called in regards to sending new evidence . Phone was answered after 2 rings and a lovely man who was very helpful he even wished me a good day!

goodluck to everyone calling today x

I didn’t have no evidence. Because none of these services ever provide me with anything. I’m currently on the chase for all these missing letters. This is my first time ever applying. Should have been a bit more wise 😩

Try and get some supporting letters and put in MR.
It’s so draining just trying to get our children the support they need. Fingers crossed you manage to chase it up!
if your child’s on any medication or any appointments with Gp… try asking the surgery for print outs? X

YourMerryPanda · 13/06/2024 11:25

Has anyone who has already been awarded got a text if they asked to be texted the decision?

Crazyhouse4 · 13/06/2024 11:29

Crazyhouse4 · 13/06/2024 11:33

Carly1931 · 13/06/2024 10:36

Woo hoo mine got refused!! Poor child has a speech delay. No sense of danger. Doesn’t sleep, has regular meltdowns. Won’t take herself to toilet on her own. Still in nappies at night. Wakes up most nights. Doesn’t sleep until 11pm. On the autism pathway. Sick of fighting a shitty system for my child 🥲

What were there reasons for refusing you? And how old is ur child x

Tinxy · 13/06/2024 11:56

So spoke to dla to be told they are going to chase case manager. So still waiting scan date 20/02

Dani457 · 13/06/2024 11:56

Same scan date. I'm still waiting too.. 🤞

Dani457 · 13/06/2024 12:02

16/02 still waiting. Rang on Tuesday and was told DM was working on it daily and just waiting on school to get back to them. I'm so bloody anxious. Spoke to the school and asked them to include the documented information regarding the meeting we had a few weeks ago. Dunno if they are going to and just say how good he is at school ! When on the documention off the school says he's been violent in class and Is getting 1-1 care with his teacher as well as mental health support and lessons. And the Senco is looking at speeding his ASD / ADHD assessment up. They've also mentioned that he now needs aids to help him function in class. It's a shame you can't email DM directly with added evidence. Think it would be pointless sending more evidence now 😒

Tinxy · 13/06/2024 12:03

@SB1994 it's ridiculous been told different things then told they are going to chase it. I don't think they realise the added stress it puts on us parents all we are wanting to do is what's best by our children.

SB1994 · 13/06/2024 12:10

@Tinxy 1000% every time I phone I'm told something different 🤦🏻‍♀️

Tinxy · 13/06/2024 12:14

@SB1994 I already had a huge argument with the school yesterday so was hoping today would be a better day but nope still fighting and arguing for my child. Sometimes wish others could see it from our point.

SD 21/2 still waiting…

Me too.
Was informed two weeks ago that it was with a DM.
Called on Tuesday and was told I should hear by the end of the week.
Called today and was told I will hear by 'early July' 🫠

Just said she didn’t meet criteria. And a letter will be sent out on how I get apply for a MR and I needed evidence. And this can take an additional 12 weeks

HeathenPlayingHouse · 13/06/2024 12:23

Scan date is 23/04 and I had put on the forms that I was waiting for a letter from his appointment with the paediatrician on 11/03, and would send in once arrived.

I've finally received it today, and the information about his sleep isn't right- we said that his bedtime is 7:30pm, but he can be running around wide awake for hours. The report says he falls asleep in an hour or two, but can take longer.

Now I'm wondering if I should send it off, because it seems to totally contradict what I have explained on the form?

I've sent in a previous paediatrician report, ASD diagnosis report, Educational Psychologist report and about 10 extra sheets of additional info because I needed more room to write.

Should I worry about this latest report?

Mama3Girls · 13/06/2024 12:24

@UsefulZombie Ive just called was told with decision maker no other update they can give me on timescale other than hopefully not much longer but I will get a text

I would just write a note with the evidence stating what actually happens during bedtime,
I think it should be fine! you have other evidence to support your case

That's terrible! Are you going for a mandatory reconsideration? You should. I'm so sorry that's happened.

i'm not sure but i'm in the same position.

I had a message from UC today to say my change of circumstances had been added correctly
and they had sent my case to a specialist team

  • wonder if that means a decision maker?

Parking! Scan date 20/3 putting off calling until I’ve reached 20 weeks (that’s how long previous applications have taken between 20-22) .. quick question if another child’s claim is due for renewal in November (I think around the 18th) when will I receive renewal forms? There’s been so many changes in the past 18 months including EHCP, special school and school transport I’ve just not done a COC out of fear it’ll all be taken away and I have to appeal

Same date as me, hopefully not long🤞🏻
