Got a payment today can anyone work out my rates, child age 3. Backdated from 26th Jan. £1334.85

Mummyof6love · 12/06/2024 16:43

Scan date 21/02. Rang today, still not with DM. Have a feeling it will be declined due to lack of evidence. I wrote loads in the form but without back up from school, I’m really not hopeful. Only sent in a letter confirming an autism assessment can go ahead. Just such a long wait for a no. Fingers crossed this week I’ll find out for def.

I would say you've been awarded MRC!

My son is similar, he was awarded MRC, he's also up during the night, he's on melatonin for sleep related issues and has epilepsy which is mostly nocturnal seizures.
I was told MRC is appropriate for this type of situation. I think HRC is usually for someone that's literally awake every hour of every night with their child, as well as enhanced care needs during the day time x

I'm up on average 4 times a night between 10pm and 6am. Does anyone have any banding criteria?

Ljstar · 12/06/2024 18:04

@WaitTimeWarrior

i think it's probably due to age? They would say a lot of 3 year olds are awake during the night, so they sometimes wait it out and see how things are in a year, so it might be that you get moved up to HRC as they get older. How long did you get awarded for?

You can always do MR? the only downside is they can reasses the whole award and it can sometimes be downgraded as well as upgraded

ArtfulJoker · 12/06/2024 18:06

So after a quick google
MRC- needs care or supervision throughout either the day or the night
HRC- needs care or supervision frequently throughout both the day and night
