Mine went in within the next time you can see a statement but the back date 🙄 there’s no time scale on that, they told me just whenever it’s ready and to keep an eye on my journal

Oh that’s annoying I’ve just had my statement for this month a week after I done change of circumstances after they were awarded hopefully they’ll have it sorted by next month and then just another long wait for it to be back dated 🤦‍♀️😂

Shezale · 18/06/2024 14:05

How old is your son?. It's awful isn't I'm dreading my 2 boys growing up as they already awful now the older one is already getting harder to restrain I'm only 5ft4 myself lol.. I deal with it all myself aswell had to go from full time work to part time and my partner works away so is no use to me really.. but finding this thread as made me see I'm not alone and can actually talk about it with people who are going through it also xx

I wouldn't worry about the other people who make things up karma will catch upto them..they will only get away with it for so long before they haven't got the evidence to back up what they claiming..

He's 13, diagnosed depressive disorder, anxiety and tics all medicated, he's been referred to salt for communication needs, incontinence nurse as he still wets the bed and soils and about to start specialist therapy with camhs, has a camhs consultation who's not long sent paperwork for autism assessment also think he has pda and recently finished working with base 25 and youth offending team.

Having to restrain him is awful, he's given me bruises and I've done the same to him, I have to tell the school when something has happened as he'll go in and say my mums done this, the first time I had child protection police and social services out but they closed the same day. He'll scratch and bite himself, punch walls, hit his head off walls and we've had incidents of him strangling himself also. He's in a mainstream school but in alternative provision so there's only like 4 other people in his class and he gets 1 to 1, currently about to send of ehcp paperwork. He tried to fight people in the street because they look at him because of his tics and because he doesn't understand feelings or emotions his fight or flight is either all fight or all flight he's gone missing loads which is where the question of pda comes in.

I'm hoping when salt starts and if he's awarded and I can buy communication aids things will get easier on that side, he has no empathy and comes across very cold you can't read his emotions

ThatWittyRuby · 18/06/2024 14:46

45 mins on hold, I hope it's worth the call ...

Wow.. I'm finding it difficult at the min with my boys but they only young and my youngest hits himself bites himself nuts walls throws himself on floor and says it's me aswell hes actually shouting mum get off me stop doing that while hes doing it to himself.. I've had to video him just as proof incase anything comes of it.. I'm actually dreading them getting older as every day they seem to be getting worse and with both of them so a like one starts the other tends to follow if one wakes up the other does aswell they so close in age aswell a year and 5 days.. it's so hard isn't it I can't imagine if I will have hair left at 13 though.. keep going though you are doing a great job all the fights will be worth it in the end sending you big hugs hunni 🤗

Is there no funding available for the communication aids you need?.

Shezale · 18/06/2024 15:19

just rang through spoke to a lovely lady via the 523 route she said scan dates around the 25--28th February should have a decsion by the end of this week.and my claim is with a decsion maker

Mammalee5 · 18/06/2024 15:30

Spoke to the case manager about my sons coc to add low rate mobility. Oh my god she was horrible. She's disregarded all evidence, told me it isn't good enough, doesn’t matter that he was awarded hrc in December with the evidence, she wants to cancel his entire award because it isn't good enough. She's given me 2 weeks to submit more supporting evidence . Now the only thing that will appease her is an official autism diagnosis because everything else i can submit isn't going to be good enough. Any recommendations for a private autism assessment please? Need to sort one asap

ThatWittyRuby · 18/06/2024 15:32

SD 26/02
Awarded LRC LRM
DD is 16 in Sept so a couple of months off before the PIP claim.

She said she wants to cancel the whole award?! That's horrendous! I'd be putting in a complaint asap!

Also state you haven't got the paper work in 2 weeks as your wainting on assessment they don't just happen over night.. can you not get a letter to confirm hes wating for assessment? God I hate dms they think they so better than anyone else horrible people how do they sleep at night.. they take ages in dealing with claims but expect e erything done for them within little time

Aussielover · 18/06/2024 15:44

@Mammalee5 may I ask what evidence did you have with the original claim x and what additional evidence did you have to support the coc? Xx
