That’s how I’ve got through my life so far I have to laugh or I will breakdown 😂 I thought it was never going to end at one point my daughter was honestly the same until about 9 then she just all of a sudden got so old I used to feel my face burning up going red because the cat would make an appearance at the worst of times! 🫣

9!!🫣😯 he's nearly 6.. and yeah he used to only be himself at home but this last year he's become comfortable everywhere it's a bit of a relief really as he would come home from school and explode but now he's not that bad as he's letting go at school aswell.. but yeah I'm always embarrassed everywhere we go he's fine one min then changes but can vairy on how long he's like that then normal again.. but it's getting more common now so it's not that bad been out and about more people are aware of all disabilities so only the odd few look in disgust xx

Yeah we do our best we not got instructions on this I'm afraid so we just have to figure things out.. I read tips people try on Google but every child is different what works for one doesn't for the other.. I'm just so glad both my boys are similar so I no what I'm dealing with and slowly finding things that work.. it's like an episode of tom jerry and the dog cartoon in this house never a dull moment morning noon and night I survive on red bull and coffee.. but atleast we not a boring strict family it's always full of fun 🤣🫣 xx

So true! Although my eldest is an angel compared to youngest they are both nuts- loud, boisterous! In the garden at 8am I feel so bad for my neighbours 😂

I wholeheartedly agree with this, some people are far too quick to judge others.
The phrase 'Be Kind" seems to have been forgotten by many
Not everyone's struggles are the same or outwardly visible. Many mask so well you'd never know what really goes on behind closed doors in their safe space!
We are all in this together for our own reasons and everyone's struggles are very real to them.
Medication or not diagnosis or not. We should all respect each other and our individual fights for our childrens well-being.

@ArtfulJoker thankyou for this !! agree with you both too ❤️ we’re all in the same boat struggling I have 2 children aged 5 and 3 both severe autistic and signs of ADHD awaiting diagnosis for both my girl masks much more at school then the boy and I struggle so much with their sleep all my gp will prescribe is piriton as it can make you drowsy but that doesn’t work I would love them to prescribe melatona just so I could get even 2-3 hours unbroken sleep but until they’re assessed by cams they won’t ,, I very much doubt anyone in the right mind would force their child to take medication they didn’t actually need Ive even had letters from the school to try and help prescribing something stronger as one has fell asleep in school on occasions due to severe lack of sleep I’m talking months and months of broken sleep they literally have between an hour to 2 hours sleep per night and it’s all broken so it’s not just as easy as getting it coz I can’t for my 2 they’re must be some solid proof of sleep issues for it to be prescribed they don’t just give it out for the sake of it x

Hey all. Is there a difference between a case manager and a decision maker?

Scan date 27th of Feb.

Called this morning using the 523 way, spoke to a lovely man who said it was assigned to a case manager yesterday and I should hear within a weeks time.

Kell85 · 18/06/2024 12:43

CyanFawn · 18/06/2024 10:12

That's an idea im going to try one of those humidifiers now you've mentioned one does it help?

People do use benefits to their advantage which is wrong as some of the stuff I've been through as a mother and our family go through with meltdowns I wouldn't wish on my worse enemy and to sit there at night wondering what you've done wrong that day or why you're not a good mother when your sons telling you to die and they hate you no amount of money makes that's better, especially when you know they can't help it and don't mean it, they just can't regulate feelings.

Thank you and same to you, hopefully good times always outweigh the bad x

It helps my son, obviously every child is different but there really is no harm in giving it a go. I found either leaving it on constantly helps or putting it on about 1 and half hours before bed time. So lucky the people on here know exactly what the other parent is going through, and I know what you mean I always question what have I done wrong, why does my son hate me, am I not meeting his needs. But look at it from your child’s point of view and I bet they wouldn’t change you for the world just like we wouldn’t change them x

Case manager signs off on dm work. Spot check or new staff member
Or the case Managers pick up cases to get through work load

Kell85 · 18/06/2024 12:47

@CyanFawn also if you have one that is LED the colour red is suppose to increase your natural melatonin and help you sleep. So I have the lavender essential oil and the red light on the humidifier/diffuser xx

Kell85 · 18/06/2024 12:50

Mine went in within the next time you can see a statement but the back date 🙄 there’s no time scale on that, they told me just whenever it’s ready and to keep an eye on my journal

Mammalee5 · 18/06/2024 13:12
