How long have people had to wait to get the back dated payment of the disability element and cadres element of universal credit, I’ve been waiting a month now and all they keep saying is it will take as long as it takes. Are they trying to get out of paying it? They keep asking me why didn’t I tell them about the change in February but I can’t tell them about the change unless I had the award letter which was a month ago now. I didn’t know what my son would be entitled to until DLA made a decision and UC are starting to really get on my nerves now. It’s been with the DM since 20th may

It's crazy how we have to fight so much for our kiddies to get what they need! I first applied over a year ago for my son who's visually impaired and autistic. I got told then a no - because he "had the same needs as any other almost 2 year old". When he really doesn't!
I didn't even know MR was a thing etc. until now! We reapplied as a new claim (he's now nearly 3). More evidence etc so I'm hoping.

Let's hope we all get what we deserve. It's so stressful

I've got a renewal In aswell sd 30/5 he's is up September though and he's got autism diagnosis and waiting adhd aswell but they more aless the same and he only got hrc no mobility 2 year ago so that got me thinking how can one be awarded that but 2 year ago the other only got care part.. I now no what my boys are entitled to reading these threads if I didn't I would still be non the wiser about half the things they entitled to xx

@Aussielover are you waiting on coc like me for HRM? If so what’s your scan date ? My boy gets HRC and LRM at the moment but he now has a severe intellectual disability I sent his full diagnosis report off also Peads report and letter from school they already have his ehcp and all other information as he got his renewal in nov last year. X

If payment was released Friday, any chance it would go into bank tomorrow?

Is there anyone still waiting from Feb scan dates? Mine 5.03 not heard anything

5/3 had the generic text today
.. Hoping will. Hear bk within next 2.weeks that's what happened with my daughters claim had text 14 week 5 days received decision 17weeks 2 days

Anyone around March 20th get a text? I haven't and feeling left out 😂

Till 2026.. hopefully will have everything sorted for then aswell.. good luck I'll keep my eyes out for your award.. I've got me renewal to wait for now lol and I learn something new everytime I read posts what is good when your clueless like me lol xx

@mummyto3littlebeautys yes x coc 18th Mar x I sent in as much as possible but I don't have ehcp yet so just submitted the paperwork and that he was accepted for the assessment, already told by Local authority there's no reason it should be a no for ehcp x also sent letter from ongoing health visits and OT x specialist equipment etc x

@Aussielover im just after you sd 26th March. I did call today and the lady was really lovely and said to call back the end of June as COC are taking between 14 and 15 weeks. I’m not sure how true it is tho lol x

For all saying about texts. I received nothing. No texts or letters at all. I called to confirm scan date and requested I had text messages sent but not received anything. Scan date 21/02 and was awarded 14/06. Just over 16 weeks. So don’t feel bad if you don’t receive one-I got nothing! 😂🙈

Anyone done a change on UC lately…how long have you waited for back pay? I got a message to say they are waiting for another department to verify it.

@mummyto3littlebeautys I'm waiting for extra piece of evidence so I hope mine is another week or two so I can get it in x otherwise I hope they've got enough x I'll mr appeal the works because I do have a lot x smi is hard to get but when you know you know don't you x I submitted evidence for each point so I'm hopeful x what evidence did you send x
