Yes I will do the same as we know our children deserve it! I sent his severe intellectual disability report in with all IQ scores in the extremely low range. Also his report from Peads and a letter from school. His intellectual report is 14 pages so if that’s not enough then I don’t no what is 🤦‍♀️ I hope you get the outcome your wanting. I will keep you posted x

Aussielover · 17/06/2024 17:37

@mummyto3littlebeautys where did you have that done x I'd be interested in my son doing one x

Kayw288 · 17/06/2024 17:46

MotherAndDSon · 17/06/2024 17:54

@ArtfulJoker @Lion10 @Mhow hopefully we get a text soon. Xx

MotherAndDSon · 17/06/2024 17:55

Mummyof6love · 17/06/2024 17:22

For all saying about texts. I received nothing. No texts or letters at all. I called to confirm scan date and requested I had text messages sent but not received anything. Scan date 21/02 and was awarded 14/06. Just over 16 weeks. So don’t feel bad if you don’t receive one-I got nothing! 😂🙈

Was worried until now 😅 thanks for giving us hope 🫶🏻

mummyto3littlebeautys · 17/06/2024 18:17

@Aussielover it was done through the pathway the panel Suggested he had that done along with autism assessment. The intellectual disability assessment is funded so we only waited 4 month’s!! Hope this helps x

OneTiredMumma84 · 17/06/2024 18:21

Managed to get through using 523 way. New evidence received today and scanned on today too. Been marked as 1st . They have said 1st’s are still taking time , it could be a week it could be 4 weeks she can’t give me a definitive answer but hopefully be before I’m evicted …. If not I’m to ring and update my address each time we are moved from b&b/hotel/hostel to the next.

nice to see so many awards today !!
@Matilde08 im sorry your still in limbo. Please do send in that complaint asap! X

Aussielover · 17/06/2024 18:24

@mummyto3littlebeautys was it done on NHS x and was it your health visitor who did it?
Iv never heard of it before and wonder what are the benefits of having that sort of assessment done xx

mummyto3littlebeautys · 17/06/2024 18:33

@Aussielover its through the nhs but no it was through young minds matter a doctor psychologist! And it is all about your intellectual and adaptive functioning like problem solving etc if you google sever intellectual disability it will tell you as it’s so much to write! My son will need on going support for the rest of his life x

Is there anyone still waiting from Feb scan dates? Mine 5.03 not heard anything

Yep 21/02, still waiting...

HeathenPlayingHouse · 17/06/2024 18:46

Congrats to everyone who has been awarded!

@Matilde08 I can't believe they still haven't got this sorted for you, it's an absolute joke! I'm sorry it's causing you so much upset ❤️

I think it will be 7 weeks for us tomorrow, so still a while to wait yet.

Out of interest, did anyone else see on the FB group that someone with a SD of 30/05 just had a new claim awarded? It gives me hope that all of you that are being marked as priority cases might hear something soon 🤞

Aussielover · 17/06/2024 18:51

@mummyto3littlebeautys I'll look into that x thank you x

Kayw288 · 17/06/2024 19:01

I’m hoping to hear this week if there getting through February now so fingers crossed but also worried it might not be good news .

Any one in Birmingham with sd 8th March had any news other than the text

I'm from Birmingham I haven't received anything

tessbear1 · 17/06/2024 19:25

Hi, could anyone tell me if my daughter would fall into smi categorie?

She's 11 years old. Non verbal. No understanding of danger or the world around her. Her behaviour is impulsive, dangerous and disruptive. She needs constant supervision. I have to do everything for her, wash her, toilet etc.

I hope it's delt with soon.. I don't understand them when they award claims before older claims and then they award some people but decline other people with same diagnosis.. they really need to update how people apply and the wait times as its a joke making people wait so long and making up lies to get us off the phone.. hopefully if you ring again you get through to someone who actually does thier job properly and not fobs you off.. fingers crossed for you hope soon you get the outcome you deserve x

Aussielover · 17/06/2024 19:48

@tessbear1 yes. In my opinion her age and needs would qualify, you don't need me to tell you but her age is almost through childhood and so because she's still non verbal and needs a lot of help I'd argue she isn't young anymore and an 11 year old would know danger etc xx

tessbear1 · 17/06/2024 19:50

Thank you x

Mamof2devils · 17/06/2024 19:58

This country is a joke when it comes to helping our children.. we basically have to fight and fight to get somewhere it's all bloody wrong, sorry just a pissed off mum.. tried to book little one in dentist earlier as he's damaged his tooth during a meltdown and because he's not been to a dentist for 2 year they have removed him from the list and will not take him back on as they not taking NHS patients like what on earth he's a child, so I said well I'll pay for him sorry we're not taking anyone on were full.. so exchanged a few words of what I thought of them and phone went dead.. so rang another dentist to be told the same where not taking NHS patients on. He's a child and refused help.. 🤬

Aussielover · 17/06/2024 20:00

@Mamof2devils call 111 honey they will put you through to emergency dentist x he's child with additional needs too so would need priority if you explain what you've just said to us x x

I'm absolutely furious what is wrong with this country when we can't even look after the future 😤 and I'll give 111 a try thank you xx

JodiexXXXx · 17/06/2024 20:21

26th feb still waiting

Brittany95 · 17/06/2024 20:29

Mamof2devils · 17/06/2024 14:05

Wow better than I thought hrc hrm till 2026.. I really thought we wouldn't get anything as he's not diagnosed only report I sent was speech therapy and autism referral letter and his letter that says hes got sleep apnea. . I wrote the appointments we had and ones we are waiting to attend and I got no one to write in the know your child bit as it will of been past return date if I did as his next appointment was day before it was due to be returned.. I stated this in the that section.. I am very overwhelmed with this and I hope this gives you all a bit of hope for your awards.. thank you for all your chats during the time waiting it's helped stay sane. I will be sticking around to see others get what they deserve and also as I have a renewal of my others son aswell.. so I've got a good outcome for one and still a worry for the other lol

Congratulations im soo happy for you that you got awarded for your son 🎉🎉

Kayw288 · 17/06/2024 20:32

@Mamof2devils thank you sweet I hope everyone on here gets the outcome they need. and agree it’s ridiculous the amount of time ppl have to wait like none of us already have stress of what we have to deal with on a day to day basis this just adding to it but I’m glad I found this thread and it helps there’s others that no what we’re all going through x
