@Matilde08
So sorry they have yet again let you down. What an absolute joke.
They better sort it soon. Definitely send off that complaint as soon as possible because they can't get away with the way they have treated you.
🫶 much love to you and your family

You've got loads of evidence hun, how old is your child? Xx

I hope so, the forms just completely threw me which is why i think i wrote so many pages regarding behaviours and diagnoses he has 3 confirmed and the the waiting autism, been waiting for that to get to panel for 7 months and looking at another 18 months, he shows behaviours from so many things so pda, autism, adhd, ebd its so hard to pin point but were getting there. He's 14 this year, been a long old road to get to this point, queried adhd from around 11 but then with covid he didn't see peads ect so been basically playing catch up ever since x

SD 21/02. Called again today to be told, still with DM but will put a request in for it to be moved up as it’s past the 15 weeks. She was a lush lady on the phone! Anyone had a text over the weekend? 🙈 Gonna be a loonnnng weekend!

Matilde08 · 14/06/2024 19:23

@MotherAndDSon @Brittany95 @NoWordForFluffy @Mez2024 thank you ladies 🫂💕 Will try to focus on my family during weekend as it drains me till limits I don't hear them to talking to me.. my psychogenic cough have gotten worse as my anxieties goes through the roof. I just don't get it. My hubby is financial advisor and facing institutions regularly with delays, time terms..but never have seen anything like this. It will be full 30 weeks on Tuesday since scan date. Double they put on letter for waiting time.

thank you

I just had to do this for my eldest she turned 16 on March 27th
Took 3 weeks for the forms to get to me I had to call up after 2 weeks as you only get a month to send them back
Had the phone assessment on the 22nd may and was told if didn't hear in 8 weeks to call
As of yet no news and 8 weeks won't be till around 17th July so il can then just praying she stays on same rates
She has adhd and pica so I rely on the dla she gets to replace the clothes she eats 😔

Mine is 8/3. What do we think, couple of weeks? Or am I over hopeful?

I don’t think I gave enough evidence anyway so am thinking we might get refused. If you have to do MR, do they backdate to original claim? My daughter has dyspraxia, hypermobility, hyptonia and is on asd referral. She’s not as severe as some of the children I’ve heard about on here, but I sent diagnosis letter, childminder letter and ISP from school. She doesn’t sleep well at all and she can’t be trusted alone outside as she has no balance and falls over constantly.

As well as finding the form difficult, I also struggled with the fact that she really does have problems that seem ever more severe as she gets older. It hurt reading the feedback about her difficulties. I would so much rather she didn’t need any help :(

If you need to go via MR, you need to have the MR sent back within 4 weeks of the decision in order for it to be backdated. I found out over the phone that we were declined when I was asking for an update and there and then they asked if I wanted to do the MR over the phone.

I said no as I wanted to see the letter with their reasons on it (but you can do a MR based on the grounds of new evidence). We didn't have a lot when I first sent it, we had been waiting to see paeds, to start nursery etc. I saved the new info to one side ready for MR just incase. Once the letter came I called up, did the MR on the phone within the time frame and then sent the evidence via post a couple days later. They asked why I don't agree, what new evidence I have to send etc. I felt like it was quite a simple process, a lot easier than the initial application. Hope it helps

5/3 I haven't rang once it's 15 weeks this week I tried hold off calling as with my other child's claim last year I called alot and I found it made my anxieties worse... Would ya. Maybe hold off another 2 weeks (17weeks) before calling? What are they saying when people are ringing... They told us with my daughters upto 20 weeks she was awarded at 17 week 2 days backdated 24 weeks are they working at this pace or are they faster this year?

OneTiredMumma84 · 15/06/2024 12:38

Just sent off paed letter, camhs letter and senco letter special delivery and wrote a little something asking for my sons case to be looked at as a case of urgency due to me being in hardship losing my job for caring for him and now also being evicted through no fault of ours. 🤞🏻they can make a decision asap and hopefully it’s a positive decision. I feel awful asking for priority as I know all our children need their decisions and no one is more worthy over another , especially guilty asking with the amount of time @Matilde08 has waited ! I’m sorry in advance to all x

Honestly your situation is so difficult, I would call them in Monday and ask for financial hardship priority. If it's in the evidence it won't actually be read until your child's claim reaches the DM in its own time. Don't feel bad, these systems are there for a reason to cover situations such as your own x

It's been about 15-17 weeks for decisions recently. I believe people who applied around 20/2 are recieving decisions around now so probably a couple more weeks as you say x

It is in with extra evidence . I didn’t even think about it not being seen until DM . I thought it would be seen when evidence being scanned on. My heads in a muddle to be honest like everything is going in slow motion! I just feel bad for delaying others situations. Thank you 💜

You shouldn't feel bad for asking to prioritise your claim as you're in awful position. That should be marked like an emergency immediately. I would be ready to wait if there would be queue to let your claim to be sorted first 🫂💕
