so i called today my son renewal due on 1st july and my daughters first claim scanned 26th feb

so for my daughter the standard was repeated on the phone 20 week wait.
and then for my sons renewal he said will be decided by end of june as i was about to put the phone down the gentleman said oh hang on a decision on your sons renewal has been just made. so he put me through to a young lady who then told me my son has gone from getting just HRC he also now will get HRC AND HRM. im so happy as i went down the smi rules for him and had to get so much eveidence for him!!

Whats your sons scan date and what evidence did you send if u dont mind me asking xx

ArtfulJoker · 10/06/2024 17:08

I’m 19/03 judging by recent award dates we should be this time next month 🙏🏼

Kim21 · 10/06/2024 17:10

Anyone know how long for payment from decision been made 🤔

Scan date 16/4 and I had a second letter today saying we are dealing with your claim and can take up to 15 weeks. Is that 15 weeks from the scan date or 15 weeks from the second letterConfused

Yep, me too, same scan date. Is the return address on the back of your envelope Belfast? That totally threw me as I obviously sent the form to Wolverhampton. I nearly chucked the letter, thinking it was Junk mail! 😂😂

my son scan date for the renewl was 17th march so they told me a 12 week wait for renewals and for the smi i had a full peadratics report his fully autism diagnosis and a report from special school on how he has no danger awareness and a questionaire filled in by my drs

Demzzz · 10/06/2024 17:30

hiya wondering if anyone can help me , I applied for DLA for my daughter on the 12/02/24 and they received the form 26/02/24 I got 2 letters and I got a txt message on the 3rd of June (15 weeks) to say they still looking at the form , could anyone please tell me how long I could be waiting to get a decision? I’m currently on 16 weeks from the 26/02/24 but 18 weeks since I called DWP 😫 my patients is running low now 😂😂

I think once you get text it isn’t long have you called them for an update I’ve seen a few awards from around 16-20/02 today I’m guessing this or next week is your week! 🙏🏼

Hey, your 15weeks today since scan date, claims seem to be being awarded about 16 weeks so you should hear something around next Monday

Billie87 · 10/06/2024 18:21

Missbeck yes it was Belfast!! I was also confused! GrinGrin

Aussielover · 10/06/2024 18:47

@Shezale hello, where did you get the questionnaire from that the gp filled in? X what questions were there x a few people on this thread will benefit from that info as a few on here trying to claim hrm x

Aussielover · 10/06/2024 18:48

@Shezale how old is your son and what award length did you get for smi x

CoralSheep · 10/06/2024 19:22

Crystalsangel08 · 10/06/2024 16:30

Not sure if it's worth sending this as extra evidence for my daughters dla claim
Basically iv got an appointment next week to try get my daughter put on adhd meds and asked the teacher if she supported me with that which she's happy to do and has written a letter is it worth sending of to dla or not
Or wait and hopefully she'll be prescribed the meds send a letter of saying she's medicated and the letter from the teacher

This literally could have been written about my son, bar the diagnosis. I would send this and then send the report from appointment when you get it xx

Mez2024 · 10/06/2024 19:30

Congrats to all the awards today 🙌🙌

My daughter would meet all those questions, I think I’ve sent enough in from myself and preschool stating all those things but I do wonder if they will award HRM one because she’s 3 and two because it seems a lot of people have to do a MR to be able to get it

Aussielover · 10/06/2024 20:20

@Crazyhouse4 the criteria is from aged 3 so you mustn't worry else why have 3 as the minimum requirement x They can't backtrack their own criteria else they look silly x lol

Aussielover · 10/06/2024 20:23

@Shezale thank you for this x I sent something similar but it was questions directly from the smi criteria and an NHS professional filled in mine I'm hoping it counts x

Shezale · 10/06/2024 20:30

my son is 5 in november the most important thing i found with smi is actually having a diagnosis for adhd or autism thats what the main thing is along with smi rules

Mamof2devils · 10/06/2024 20:47

Is the form for mobility a different form 🤔 I've got hrc but wasn't aware he will be entitled to mobility part.. he's up for renewal September he will be 6, sorry if I sound a bit thick I didn't even no about dla till 2 year ago when I was told to apply by his teacher, but reading all these posts past few weeks it seems he will also qualifie for it 🫣

Brittany95 · 10/06/2024 21:10

Crystalsangel08 · 10/06/2024 16:22

It really is iv also got my 16yr old dla clam swapping to pip had the phone assessment and was told if don't hear anything in 8 weeks to call which also brings that one to mid July 😳

Oh that sounds stressful, its mad how long these wait times are for a decision. Hopefully we hear something soon and my fingers are crossed for you that you hopefully get both awarded 🤞🏻

Congratulations 🎊 it must be such a relief. Also we're scan buddies! I haven't heard any thing yet so hopefully I should shortly. Hope you got the band you need! It's exhausting waiting, calling, queuing, fighting.
