Guys pray for me that my boy gets HRC and HRM

In the same boat hoping I my baby gets HRC, the wait is so frustrating!! Good luck!

Hopefully we both get what we want fingers crossed! I know my son is eligible but I'm worried I haven't sent enough evidence

Sorry for off topic you lovely bunch but does anyone know how long roughly EHCP’s and ASD referrals take? I’m going out of my mind!

My son ASD referral took around 18 months. He was diagnosed and then referred for an ADHD assessment on the back of that and that wait is 3-5 years apparently 😩

I think EHCP's are taking around 18 months. Although my sons school don't feel he warrants an EHCP even though he has 1-1 for most of the day.

My baby is only 8 months old so I’m hoping they don’t take that into consideration especially with how difficult the form is to fill out as it’s aimed at older children. I sent copys of hospital discharge letters and letters I’ve received from the hospital I also wrote about her condition and what the doctors have said about her developmental delays etc so yes fingers crossed 🤞🏼

My son’s school referred him for both ASD & EHCP. His paediatrician, doctor, dietician and CAMHS have all mentioned him showing neurodivergent traits. He has just been accepted into CAMHS for the third time referred by his paediatrician as she thinks he needs medicating , talking therapies just aren’t working and he’s been trying them since 2021 so if they were going to work surely something would have ‘clicked’ by now. Literally feel as though I’m chasing my own backside trying to get him help.
fingers crossed your sons ADHD doesn’t take that long!!!!

I cannot comment on EHCPs but my daughter got referred for ASD last year and we've been told her appointment won't be until summer 2025 - so two years for us.

Crazyhouse4 · 03/06/2024 14:33

Has anyone been awarded today?

3-5 years??? 🤯 My son was referred to panel 5 almost three years ago and still no diagnose, so it can take even up to 5 years 😵‍💫

BlueyMama · 03/06/2024 14:35

Good luck to everyone this week who's waiting on awards.
Sending positive vibes to you all!
especially @Matilde08!

Matilde08 · 03/06/2024 14:39

@BlueyMama thank you lovely 💐💗

Carly1931 · 03/06/2024 14:48

Spoken to them again today (scan date 12/2) been with a decision maker since Thursday apparently. I’ve asked to text. And he said oh you just need to keep checking your bank for payment but should know by end of week.

Accbabymom1994 · 03/06/2024 14:50

Aussielover · 03/06/2024 13:52

@Accbabymom1994 what evidence did you send to try and achieve hrm x

I sent evidence b4hand for the original claim, but we don't have evidence to show . He meets all the requirements for VUW but we just wrote it down and his teachers confirmed it . So that's why I'm not sure we will get it

Accbabymom1994 · 03/06/2024 14:52

What evidence can you show?

Maydeanna94 · 03/06/2024 15:04

scan date 20/2 15 weeks tomorrow had two letters and now this text today hopefully not much longer 🤞

Hey, I’m new here 👋🏼 my sons date scan was the 26/2. I’ve just received a text saying they are still looking at my child’s claim and that when a decision is made they will confirm it in writing. Can anyone tell me if this is close to the end of the road please?

Edited

I’m sure it’s when it gets added to the dm pile in date order

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 15:11

Yeah I suppose that would make sense, my brain didn’t brain then 🫣

KLCA · 03/06/2024 15:15

Surely they would have finished 12/5 by the end of today, there doesn’t seem to be scan dates before you other than ones that are waiting for extra things. It seems like there making aload of awards then releasing them all together. Good luck when you get your decision, hopefully you will receive a text by the end of the day

Or they have declined my claim. Just finding it really frustrating 🥲

BlueyMama · 03/06/2024 15:40

Just a rough guide (will be different for everyone)
My SD was 8th Feb, I received 2 letters and the text on the 20th may - I phoned them on the 30th May which was exactly 16wks for me and we had been awarded the day before (on the 29th), I still wouldn't know if I hadn't phoned as the payment isn't due until tomorrow and I haven't received the letter nor did I receive a text.
That was the one and only time I called because I know from this forum they were giving people loads of different excuses and that would have drove me insane.
I didn't have to send off BC and I don't know if they checked with anyone either so like I said take it with a pinch of salt but that was my timeline.

AutumnalApricity · 03/06/2024 15:41

Well, today hasn't gone as planned. What I thought would be a straight forward review appointment with my bub's consultant today turned into more tests and an additional diagnosis that I wasn't expecting 😭 She was an absolute superstar and took it all in her stride, even the not so nice bits. It's just all quite a lot to process. Haven't had opportunity to catch up on everyone's posts yet but I'm hoping there has been some good news for you today. I'm still waiting (12/02) but must admit I don't have the headspace to chase it up right now, will wait for a text instead x

I think we'll have to do the form again, with him not turning 5 for 6 months it's a long time for things to change x

I applied before my sons 5 birthday, he was awarded his HCR from when I applied to a day before his 5th birthday and then they calculated his HRM and HRC from his 5th birthday onwards. They should do it automatically without having to re apply
