I've told myself that I will wait until the middle of next week to call. I'll be 16.5 weeks then. I would love to call for an update but the information given out seems to be rather mixed and I think it'll just make me more anxious in the long run. I keep thinking I didn't write enough but I wrote 5 pages of information and I sent a document detailing my bub's diagnosis so deep down I know that I've done all that I can. The wait just makes me question myself. I will try to remain positive and keep myself distracted as much as possible in the meantime.

Found out today.
New claim

Just a bit of background she 13, waiting on diagnosis of autism, was under cahms for 7 sessions.and only just be referred to a cahms specialist. She needs constant watching because of self harming.
My question is she was only awarded a year? is that normal?

I’m still waiting 16/2 new claim, I was told today I should have a decision within a week, so I would say 15-16 weeks for new claims are taking

Hi everyone! I know I’ve already asked but… has anyone had any positive experience when informing UC that their child was in receipt of HRC? As in, was anyone awarded the back pay and the payment added to their payment soon? Or has everyone experienced a long wait?! 🙈

Congratulations on your award your scan date is just before me. I was thinking they might just do a years claim for the mental health side of it incase it improves, my daughters is 13 and is similar to yours mental health and suspected neurodivergent, she’s having a assessment next month, I should hear this week so it will be interesting to see what my outcomes will be and if awarded for how long

Hi I informed UC in Feb I was applying for DLA for my daughter, was awarded HRC LRM today so just changed my circumstances today and told them to backdate it till 20th Feb when I told them, hopefully won't be too long, it took a week last time i applyed for my eldest daughter, lets see what happens xx

Thank you for replying! My son was awarded HRC and LRM on Weds last week and I informed them that day… I called today and they said it’s with a decision maker and they won’t know until I do… let me know how you get on! X

Hi I was awarded 2 months ago and informed uc straight away . It took them 4 weeks to verify my daughters dla and my back pay is going in tomorrow . It was the same for my sons last year . Seems like they are in no hurry when they owe you sadly .

Scan date 20/2 new claim rang yesterday they said its with case manager any idea if they make decisions

Aww honestly you sound like i did, I was questioning myself, the wait makes you do that, to me you sound like you have sent enough evidence, to be honest i think it goes from what you put in the forms too and how detailed you are as i didnt have a lot of evidence i was just honest with daytime and night time needs, hopefully it's good news and you hear back soon xx

When I called he said mines with the new claims decision maker, I’ve never heard them say it like they have different decisions makers before, case manager and DMs are the same I think they both make decisions

Hopefully they start on March soon , I thought COCs take less time.
