Hopefully they start on March soon , I thought COCs take less time.

Coc taking around the same. My sons coc was scanned 16/02 still not heard. Phoned yesterday was supposedly made priority due to fh and was told phone back Friday.

Is there anyone left from March, new claim still waiting to hear?

19/03 starting to get nervous!

fluffypooch · 30/05/2024 07:43

Morning, anyone know what week the case managers pick up the holding piles? If the wait is 15/20 weeks I'm guessing they pick them up towards the end?

Morning, it’s about week 15 it gets added to a dm pile for new claims, decision are being made between 15-16 weeks but if they need to contact school, doctors etc it may take abit longer

My son who is already on dla turns 5 next week so they sent the forms for coc to see if he qualifies for mobility too. They received they scanned the forms 26th February and also my daughters new claim forms. Had a "received" letter for each but heard nothing since

Could anyone help with qualifying for HRC, when I google its mainly around HRM which I dont think we qualify for. My daughter is awaiting diagnosis for Adhd and Autism she needs constant supervision, is up all hours of the night, needs constant encouragement and support to complete all care tasks. However she has been awarded MRC. Is there any examples of evidence I could give? I only have her adhd autism referral forms.
Thank you

Kmcx93 · 30/05/2024 09:36

@Kla1913 congratulations! 💖

When my son was awarded low rate care I did the MR immediately on the phone. I explained his night needs are greater, needs more supervision in nights than the additional day care. He has regular panic attacks and takes ages to settle each time. I think he's still too young for medication and the doc agrees.
I didn't actually send any extra forms I asked them to refer to his original form and the level of night needs. I heard back eight weeks later and he'd been awarded HRC thankfully. We didn't even know about DLA so he's only had it since thirteen, but it's already made a huge difference for him. Fight for what your child needs, half of it is the sheer volume of applications, I think they speed through some without looking sometimes. The responses vary too much on here for similar needs!

Mumoffourlovelies · 30/05/2024 09:39

Forgot to add he has the same as your child in terms of pre diagnosis.

I tried calling today and after a few minutes the call just cuts.

Kita86 · 30/05/2024 10:15

Ooohh that’s good should be today or tomorrow hopefully feel like ringing them but I’ll try wait for txt 👀😬😬 congratulations again x

Lilacandkoa10 · 30/05/2024 10:25

scan date was 7/2.

I just called for an update. Was told by a really lovely man that a decision had been made 2 days ago and I would receive a letter in 7-10 days.

He did offer to pass me over to another department to discuss the claim further but I couldn’t stay on the phone any longer.

Feel sick now 🤢

Morning all,
does anyone know what happens if they need to contact schools/teachers does that happen before it’s at the DM or when they pick it up? What happens if it’s school summer holidays when that time comes? 🧐

ArtfulJoker · 30/05/2024 11:24

Have any March dates been processed that havent been mark as priority yet? x

I think this is happening to us.
The call handler told us, it will take a couple more weeks as the DM cannot make a decision this week.
12/02.
knowing my son school, it will take forever until they will reply to them.
