Correction and update - scan date was 20/02 not 27/02 not sure where the mix up came from there as they told me 27/02 🤦🏻‍♀️

Daughter got LRM MRC. The man on the phone was very helpful and told me alot of info without even asking. For info that may help, he said my case went to the DM on 07/05 (week 11) I found out it was with a DM on 16/05 (week 12) by phoning for check on scanned evidence I’d sent 4 weeks prior. Decision was made on 16/05. Whether the guy on the phone could see my decision I don’t know! Payment received 22/05 (week 13) no text or letter.

Hope everyone receives their outcomes soon and they’re all awards! 🌟🤞🏻 Updated UC to start that wait now.

Also on MR with tax credits for my other daughter, been on the journey with my youngest for 14 months since I first applied and still not sorted. Remember for anyone transitioning from TC to UC before getting the award to please inform both. It’s been a very long nightmare to sort 🤪

very grateful this time around wasn’t a 31 week wait for DLA outcome like my youngest. Sending lots of love to everybody waiting for awards or MRs ❤️

I've been lurking for a while and reading all of your posts but honestly I'm still none the wiser to how they order and work this application process.
My scan date for my sons application was the 15/02 - I called up today and was advised that the application is in a decision makers queue. The lady wasn't particularly helpful. Does this mean its with the DM and he's working his way through a pile or is it still progressing to be moved to a DM?
Whatever it means, the lady said not to call again until the 10th June if I've not heard anything.
I wasted nearly an hour on the phone to learn precisely nothing!

Sleeplessi · 22/05/2024 12:03

Just in case these timings are useful to others (I know I’ve been watching like a hawk to see others’ experiences)

Scan date 02/02
2 x letters confirming application at random times
text 13/05 to say it’s still being looked at so don’t contact them

I called just now (50min wait) to see if it was worth sending extra info at this point as just had another draft EHCP through and he said DS11 has been awarded MRC and LRM!

it was the nicest, most helpful guy on the phone, didn’t catch his name

good luck to all still waiting

Assuming this means that my son’s claim has been refused? Everyone else has received texts saying that they are entitled… 😫😫😫.

Hi, I’m 16/2 with a new claim and I’m not expecting to hear a decision until week 15-16, it sounds like from reading on here they go to the decision maker pile at week 15 and then they work through that pile, hopefully not much longer

I haven’t received that text but I have seen some that have got that text has been refused, I would call to double check and ask for a MR if it has been refused

Lindsey89 · 22/05/2024 12:28

Just here for updates on where abouts they are upto on claims my daughter was awarded in Feb from. Septwmber claim.. I now have my sons claim in scanned March 5th I've tried not thinking about it as I was riddled in anxiety with my daughters checking this thread daily made myself poorly with worrying but now we are. So many weeks in I'm. Back and getting anxious where are they approximately at as in dates now Thankyou

Newtothisnow · 22/05/2024 12:29

Just to show that the text that I thought would mean my son wasn’t entitled… just called and HRC and LM… I couldn’t provide any evidence and gave just one contact whom I believe they haven’t contacted… just for anyone out there who is waiting and becoming disheartened! This will change his life…

Newtothisnow · 22/05/2024 12:33

Does anyone know how much the UC element is for HRC?

Kita86 · 22/05/2024 12:33

I’m seeing march claims being done on fb 😫 I think it’s down to whoever’s desk it lands on and how fast they go

From experience on my daughters claim having waited 23 weeks we kinda concluded the area came into. Consideration to loads where being awarded in advance to us in Manchester / wigan area and once one of us in thisnarea was awarded the rest followed the same week hope this helps

I just didn’t think to do it as it was for his ASD/ADHD 🤦🏼‍♀️ it makes sense now like you said. I will write up some additional information and send that off too. It’s so hard to put it all down. For me it’s just the norm now. Dealing with all the meltdowns and trying to get my little boy to take his medicine, inhalers, tablets, nasal spray and put the creams on. You don’t tend to see it as extra effort anymore. It’s just life as we both know it now. We just get on with it because we have to. X

Oh I completely agree! I have 4 others older than my son and I had no issues with them- all healthy and doing well(thank god🙏🏼) so it was a complete shock.
I had help to do mine and I actually used the 6 weeks they give you to write down everything I did, like a sleep journal but about everything!) I found that helped when coming to do the form as it is so easy to forget things you do as automatic. Simple things like dressing him in the morning. definitely send in a letter with the bits you missed off and any evidence to support it x

Does anyone know how much the UC element is for HRC?

It's 456 and 185 carer element

LoisDaniellex · 22/05/2024 12:44

I rang on Monday and got told before I was awarded the same day the piles must get put into date order so they work down the pile basically x

The new rate is £487.58. I’ve just had my statement through for my next payment, the first after the April increase.

Isit the carers part alone dedicated fully from UC or both elements? It confuses me x

Aww Amazing! I bet that text did worry you it would of me and not very helpful is it to send that with no outcome as must realise the anxiety it would cause getting that.. like great a decision been made but wtf is it then 🤦 so glad you had a good outcome ❤️ what was your scan date sorry if already said I find it hard keeping up in here keep going back pages to see if I missed anything lol x

MotherAndDSon · 22/05/2024 13:29

Loubyloufootball · 22/05/2024 13:53

I called earlier this morning. I was told a decision has been made but details weren’t on system as yet. I got no text either. I was convinced we’d be declined.

just called now and we got MRC and LRM. I cannot tell you how happy we are! Still haven’t received any texts.

SD 31/01.

Good luck to everyone waiting.
