Anyone still left from January or beginning of Feb left I'm 5/02 so hoping when I phone today I get news I'm atleast with a DM but checking they received extra evidence

I am 6/2 hope not to long now for us 🤞 .. I said yesterday on post it's like anxious and relief when see people awarded around same date as own as feel anxious on what outcome of own claim will be but relief in the hope it surly won't be long you and will finally get answer as others are getting there outcome from around same date! And I also feel so happy when I see positive outcomes for others on here and sad when I see not so great outcomes and the battles they then have to carry on with because you get invested in threads like this don't you and want the best outcome for everyone and there precious kids as know what it means ❤️ good luck and please keep me posted when you here 🤞

I didn't send her birth certificate are you supposed to? Xx

They sent me a letter which requested for the birth certificate, in the original forms no! I think it’s a random selection as to why they ask. Not 100% sure as I also did give passport number. x

I just sent my daughters IEP from nursery which evidenced she was under SALT and IEYS and went through all the support they have to put in place for her while I was waiting for appointments & a very detailed letter from nursery ( 3 pages) about her care needs and the way she is on a daily basis x

@bloom1927 congratulations again. So happy for you & little one🥰..
please can I just ask, when you received text on 13/05 did they say they’d confirm in writing? & they still txt to confirm award

sorry hope that makes sense. We received text on same day. I was curious if I should be waiting on text or letter for outcome

thank you

thank you!! I had the text on 13th but I phoned and asked them to add a note to send a text if we’re awarded I’m not too sure if they do it automatically because I know some people find out when they ring but me personally the gentleman on the phone put it on the system for me but said it depends on which DM it goes to whether they’ll send a text xx

Macramepotholder · 22/05/2024 09:51

We're 08/02- had the text on Monday to say they were still looking at the claim so hopefully really soon.

For those of you who have asked for priority due to financial hardship- what was the process? Do you just call and say to the advisor that you need to be put as a priority? My sister in law has been advised by the child disability team in her area to ask for priority due to financial hardship, she’s submitted a new claim for my niece 12 weeks ago.
are you called by the DM to discuss the hardship? Or does it just get marked as priority by the person you speak to? I can’t advise her as never had to do it myself. Many thanks in advance x

From what I’ve read on here they put it to a DM to decide whether it’s marked as priority based on circumstances xx

I got asked why her disability was causing financial hardship and had to give reason. It then goes to d.m to decide if you need to be a priority or not. If it is they will also decide how urgent it is. The financial hardship needs to match the disability needs, which i was told. I was put as a priority on a friday and was awarded the monday morning. This is my experience though. Iv seen some be marked priority and still waiting 2-3 weeks x

You could write a letter to say about his other conditions and explain you didn’t know to include them, and send all evidence to support? You should always write every detail down no matter how small you think it is, everything helps towards the claim 👍🏻 x

I just didn’t think to do it as it was for his ASD/ADHD 🤦🏼‍♀️ it makes sense now like you said. I will write up some additional information and send that off too. It’s so hard to put it all down. For me it’s just the norm now. Dealing with all the meltdowns and trying to get my little boy to take his medicine, inhalers, tablets, nasal spray and put the creams on. You don’t tend to see it as extra effort anymore. It’s just life as we both know it now. We just get on with it because we have to. X

You do it on ur journal or can ring them and it doesn’t matter if you work you can still claim the carers element of Universal credit my friend works part time and still claims the carers element of UC this doesn’t affect any of her money hope this helps x
