I received the letter yesterday to say its been received, does anyone know if a reference number beginning with PS is just generic or is that actually my sons national insurance number?

Scan date 31/01, first text "we are looking at your claim, don't call us" on 13/05, then text saying "your child qualifies but don't call us" today. 🥳 I rang but they wouldn't tell me the details or the amounts, just that it would be backdated from 21/01, which is confusing as I thought it would be from scan date but not complaining! Will work it out when I get the back pay. I hope many others got good news today also! These threads have been a great help! 💜

Great news congrats on award hope you get rates you need and glad to see another late Jan scan date sorted as mine is the 6/2 so hoping will be in next few weeks that more Febs start increasing it's sort of mix of anxiety of outcome and relief the wait will hopefully soon be over when you see dates close to own getting sorted ekk.. ❤️ xx

Does anyone know if you can get the carers element of universal for more than one child?

@Crystalsangel08 unfortunately not, you can claim carers allowance element per parent per child but not one parent for both children if that makes sense

it didn’t with me anyway when I was doing full time hours

Would I have to ask them to put my husband down as the carer if my little one gets dla?
He gets dla himself but also works full time
Im currently a carer for our eldest

@Crystalsangel08 yes I believe he can claim carers element for her while you claim carers element for your other child.

Could anyone share some light on universal credit? Husband works full time. I now only work part time due to sons needs. Still waiting on dla, is there anything else we’d be entitled to if he received dla please? Sorry if this isn’t the place to ask, just struggling financially now I’ve had to give up full time. But as always our children come first! Many thanks

@ForTipsyLimeHam you should be entitled to carers element and child disability element, pop onto the entitled to website and see what entitlement you can get
