Just a quick question, if you are awarded and receive backpay is the first official payment roughly 4 weeks from this date ?

Yeah. I got told on phone my next payment date would be 28th. Id say roughly count 4 weeks from the tuesday you were awarded. If that makes sense. I was awarded 29th so mine is 4 weeks from the 30th xx

I can’t even get a EHCP because my son is in no education at all. It’s so so stressful and I understand what you are going through completely. And to loose the last little bit of independence or “break” is soul destroying. I never in a million years I would have to struggle this much bringing up my children. My eldest is starting to resent my 5yr old because she now has to give up her acting and musical theatre because I just can’t afford it. I had to sell my car to pay rent, I waited for so long to be asked to put on priority and I really wished I didn’t. I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to be in the situation I’m in now. Stay strong also and sending you and your family love and all the best xx

Bless you :( have a search up just to check because I'm pretty sure you can do a EHCP yourself, there has got to be services who could help with it. Sorry I haven't better advice this is all really new to me aswell just winging each day as I go. Keep strong, no matter how you feel, you are doing your absolutely best and are amazing

Is anyone able to explain what these mean to me? And how they will help my daughter, so preschool are getting thing in place for my daughter for extra help and the need of a 1-1, so on her report it has all of these EHCP, individual plan, inclusion funding and a application for RAF

You have to call for form unfortunately! Would be so much easier if it could be accessible online 😬

Hi Everyone! Fingers crossed the coming week brings some good news for us all. The wait seems to be going on and on (sending extra good vibes to @Matilde08 as I've seen how long you've been kept waiting 💐) Hoping that we all get the positive outcomes that our littles so truly deserve x

Shazzle88 · 19/05/2024 17:33

How do you know when your scan date is? I send my firms and they were recieved on the 14th may x

Your scan date will be in the main text on your letter that you received (rather than the date the letter was written) So the 14th May sounds like your scan date if they put something along the lines of 'We received your application on 14th May' 🙂

NoWordForFluffy · 19/05/2024 17:57

Surely @Matilde08 will hear this week? Surely!

Jaffacakesrlife · 19/05/2024 18:24

@Kmcx93 thank you,
I will try calling at 9am Monday
x

LoisDaniellex · 19/05/2024 18:34

Im hoping to hear this week il be 16 weeks Tuesday 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Kla1913 · 19/05/2024 18:59

Fee89 · 18/05/2024 15:58

Thanks. Yeah i would rather keep that weekly amount. It helps if the kids need new shoes for school or your 12 year old non-stop growing and needing new trousers every month 🤦🏻‍♀️. The boy needs to slow down so i can keep up 😂

Tell me about it, my 9 yo daughter has currently gone through a growth spurt, she is currently the same height as an 11 year old 144cm, she just went from size 2 to a 3 foot in a matter of days, but has a waist of a 7-8years, so buying any clothes is an absolute joke, not only that she is diagnosed overactive bladder and autism, so constantly wetting the bed and herself, so currently buying bedding like I would buy toilet rolls, currently waiting for carers allowence as I had to re apply for her instead of her dad I was catering for, litterly been living on £40 a week, honestly carers allowence Is a life saver for me. Sorry for the waffle 😆

Buy 2 shower curtains and do shower curtain, sheet, shower curtain, sheet. Honestly will save you money!!! My eldest has over active bladder. Shower curtains can be washed down so easy (hot water, vinegar, lemon juice in a bowl wipe down with that, rinse then hot soapy water). When washing her bed sheets buy cheap dishwasher tablets and throw one in the drum along with your usual wash stuff x

Omfg, what an amazing idea, honestly why have I never thought of this, thankyou so much, we got given a free waterproof mattress on the council but it was so uncomfortable for her, we have litterly been through about 10 mattresses, this is an amazing idea, defiantly will try it 🥹😩😄 xx

No neither am i at all! Got a feeling I’ll be declined as I’ve seen a few posts on the reason why I’ve applied is a little hit and miss!

Hooefully it helps. We just bought cheap b&m ones but they fold well so does give good protection. A sheet is cheap but a mattress isnt 😬. Also have a look at link. Its coverless duvet it can just go in on a 40 wash x

I’ve had my first UC statement since DLA award today. They’ve added the carers element on for this month but not backdated it or added the disabled child element. Does anyone know how it usually works?

Doubt a letter would have been sent out that fast if only received 14/05….mine were received and scanned in 16/04 and I still haven’t received a letter! I only know scan date as I rang to check it had been scanned into their system….you usually find that if you sent recorded and signed for that they scan on within a few days, but if free post you could be looking 2-3 weeks after it’s been received!
Give then a call maybe tomorrow @Shazzle88 to find out x

Matilde08 · 19/05/2024 20:58

All the best for all of us who's patiently waiting for the next week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@AutumnalApricity thank you, lovely! Will step into week 26, but at this point I'm focusing to put down complaint at least make sure it's ready to be sent out if till next Thursday there's silence from them. Hope it's a good week for all of us ✨️
@CoralSheep @NoWordForFluffy thank you ladies 💗 hopefully your good feeling about me have that decision back next week becomes in reality 🤞🏻💗

Ahh I really hope you get some positive news! I’ve seen some on fb getting declined for behaviours that could be age appropriate which has really put me on edge as I’ve applied for my DD (suspected asd) and now I’m looking back questioning everything I wrote and the way I’ve worded things so I know the feeling! Xxx
