DLA wait time thread 43

I just called and it’s with DM :) I really really hope it is positive news

mine was too yesterday but im not feeling hopeful it will be done by today! whats your SD?xx

just for info for anyone who’s still waiting
told today that once it hits time scale of 15 weeks it goes to the que for the DM to look at, she said the DM may have other cases around the same timeframe to look at too so they say to give it a week around now to give the DM chance to get through the claims, I’ve been told mine is waiting to be looked at by the DM and if I haven’t heard in a week I can ring back and they can escalate to a case manager
my scan date is 01/02 so it was 15 weeks exactly yesterday, also received text Monday

I recon if it’s not done today yours will be beginning of next week as I’ve seen a few end of Jan being awarded on FB so must be getting through yours & @Loubyloufootball next xx

i hate waiting hahaha i sent extra evidence in and they received it yesterday at 1:30pm, i was hoping it would be today but im not sure now haha i was 15 weeks tuesday xx

@Fee89 exactly this i only called 2 weeks ago as hadn't received anything from them to say they got the mr and she said yes but takeing 8 weeks so call back after 14th then a week later had a letter saying they are takeing 15 weeks thought i would still call this week though as i know what they are like at giveing wrong info and even tho he said 15weeks today he counted the weeks slfo me so then i can call if nothing buy then 19th march 15 weeks on would be july some time but he said im looking at middle of june that only makes it the 11ish weeks 🙈 honestly makes no sence at all then they wounder why we get so frustrated

Nothing...I've had 2 letters & a text last Monday but no decision or anything. I'm to scared to ring incase I get a nasty call handler 🫣 I just read these daily & worry myself silly x

im the same! i had a guy yesterday who was lovely called wayne, could of fallen asleep listening to him hahaha, i had exact same 2 letters and 1 text on monday xx

I've rang once about extra evidence when he got his genetic testing results back & I was lucky the chap was so nice & friendly.
Think I constantly worry that he'll be declined as noone seems to know anything about his microdeletion! Even his paediatrician was like can't tell you much other than what the text book says but thankfully he's been accepted to Sheffield now so the genetics team will tell me more. Just currently waiting on Lincoln to test for vacant seizures but noone seems to work very fast lol x

my little boy is 3 was born with a cleft lip and palate, he wears hearing aids in both ears and has significant speech delay hes under local SALT and our cleft SALT im worrying we will be declined ive seen hit and miss with hearing loss so im not sure but he has got a teacher of the deaf who filled it out and quite a bit of evidence

its exhausting isnt it waiting!

Hey guys

gave them a call today on the off chance, I sent the form off last week.

she took ages on the phone after I was on hold for nearly an hour. Kept asking me to spell her name over and over and she eventually said that it takes 2 weeks for the documents to be scanned on.
is this normal? So worried they’ve lost my daughters form as I sent it off DLA child free post. The thought of refilling it out again is giving me dread. Is it right they take 2 weeks to scan it on?

He's 4 be 5 in Dec. He's been back & forth for last 2.5 years as his weight is unstable, he can gain it so quickly even though he's a picky eater. He vomits if he has anything containing cocoa butter.
It's called 15q13.3 microdeletion, he doesn't have chromosome 15, it gives the same traits as autism & ADHD plus makes him more prone to seizures, mood swings & schizophrenia as he gets older xx

Yeah sending it the free way takes longer to scan onto system. Give them call next week hopefully by then its been scanned x

Would make life easier for them and us if we could track our claims online 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx

Scan date 25/01, I caved and just called. Got through straight away and was told a decision was made 2 days ago and that I will receive a letter in the post. He wouldn't share the decision with me so I'm assuming it's a decline. So disheartening 😢
