DLA wait time thread 42

How long have peoples been with the dm for before being awarded if they haven’t needed any extra info?

Mine went in Friday. Decision made yesterday. Scan date 23/01- so exactly 15 weeks. x

I called was told no award yet, 32 mins later had text. Now sent off mr 😬

Hopefully not long then I’m the 22nd it’s with dm when I called this morning. Congratulations on your award. X

Good luck! I was shocked- didn’t expect there to be an answer. Was thinking a few more days.. She said it’s with the decision maker.. then two seconds later she said oh are you asking about your decision! Then the wait for her to find out about the decision felt like a year!!!! But she told me the rates over the phone- the backdated amount, everything. Maybe try again this afternoon/tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you x

I can imagine it felt like forever. Bet you’re relieved now though, the process is so long and stressful lol. Yeah I’ll try again tomorow thankyou

Just called, asked to be sent a text message when a decision is made, she said no decision has been made yet but will put a note on to say to text. Anxious now!

@Jodess i asked for a note to be put on to text me too, checking my phone constantly now haha

I never have my phone on loud as it does my head in, today I have🤣

mandatory reconsideration. To look at the award they gave. Im up all night with her and she has to be supervised whenever we are out as shes not aware of dangers

Has anybody seen any successful HRM claims for ASD under 5? Is it worth MR if refused?

15 weeks on Friday and so far had 2 letters and have just received my first text to say they are still looking at my sons claim - the wait is agony. I was thinking about calling on Friday, but I get so nervous calling people I don't know, I'm really putting it off - my anxiety is through the roof just thinking about it 🤦🏼‍♀️ Scan date 26/01

Scan date 22/1. I’ve just had the “we’re still looking at your claim, no need to contact us text”. Has anyone had this text and been awarded soon after? I think everyone I’ve seen receive it has had weeks of waiting after.

I just called and they said with the decision maker. I asked when it went through or if it’s in a waiting pile and she said she can’t see anymore information and not to call again till it’s been 20 weeks.
I'm getting eager with jan dates being awarded!

How long can it take for a bank payment to be recalled?

When I found out my daughter had been awarded this morning, I was told they'd sent the backpayment to a Halifax account and I'd said I never once put a Halifax account down, never banked with them, only Santander. Lady said she'd get it recalled and speak to a manager about reissuing the payment immediately.

Just called back and spoke to someone else, they just said it's been recalled the "normal" way and that they'd have to wait for that to come back first. I asked how do I make a complaint as this isn't my fault but theirs and surely it's a form of a GDPR breach, she simply said to write in... I'm fuming. Anyone got any experience with this?

Long time lurker, been patiently following waiting for our date to start popping up. Didn’t hold out much hope as my daughter has ME/CFS which notoriously has high decline rates so was fully expecting an MR. Just had a text to say she qualifies. Scan date 22/1. I haven’t got a spare hour to ring and find out rates today so will just have to wait for the letter.
