DLA wait time thread 42

Yes first claim, I called Tuesday they said was with final decision maker and then back pay was just in bank today.

I think as they had teacher report and speech and language diagnosis was probably quite straight forward.

I am so relieved, my little girl was awarded yesterday. 22/1

Phoned for forms 12th sept
Scan date 21st sept
Declined begining of the year
MR scan date 13th march was told ring after 8 weeks rings today 8 weeks 2 days
Lady was lovely and couldnt be any more understanding. She said there currently working on MR's from 19th feb so im looking at least another 4 weeks or so before its looked at 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
34 weeks gone tuesday from starting the ball rolling and looks like another long way to go praying this is the end and not needing to go further 😴

Mine was 14/02 but called yesterday they put me on financial hardship and called this morning and they said I’d get a text by 12 with a decision and they messaged me 10 minutes ago!❤️ I nagged them all yesterday evening and this morning and it worked! Wishing you for a decision today to🤞🏼 X

How long did everyone wait for a decision once their claim had been prioritised?
Claim was put as a priority on Wednesday morning and was told yesterday morning it was with the decision maker. Scan date was 07/02.

I feel your pain, my MR scan is date is 04/03 and we are now on 27 weeks from original scan date 30 weeks from calling for the forms.

@sjm100 its crazy isnt it fingers crossed the start to speed up a little bit the waites draining 😴

My scan date is the 30/01 so praying by the end of next week this whole nightmare is over!

@Twinnies010920 @sjm100 😫 i'v just sent my MR. Arrived yesterday. Not on system yet. But got told they are working pretty quick and taking 8 weeks total. Guess i was lied to 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Fee89 yep fraid so I am 10 weeks on Monday and my daughter turns 16 on Saturday, not sure what will happen if there is no decision by then.

Decided to call again to check on claim progress as was told the other day it was with a decision maker and a decision should be made any day now as over week 15 when I asked to be sent a text with the decision they said they don’t inform you by text for privacy reasons it’ll be a letter? Which I know is not true… it was like the guy was reading from a script today, Babbling on about it taking up to 20 weeks and don’t need to call again until middle of June if have no had a decision. I don’t even think he bothered looking as when I mentioned I was told any day now it’s with a decision maker he said well if it is then it may be any day, not very helpful.🙄
