@TiredTilly Once all this is over you need to write a complaint. That is utterly shocking!! How can they get away with that 😡. Thats not miscommunication at all. I'm glad she called and told you the truth with whats happening. Fingers crossed it is 10 days and no more xx

I have just had a text message to say my son qualifies for dla I'm so happy I have finally been listend to and secondary school have back me up as just put the name and email address of his senco teaches didn't mention anything to them but they know how hard he is good luck everyone waiting I only phoned up this morning and got told 10/14 days scan date 29/12

Hello all, just a quick question. For the last week, whenever I call they’ve asked me for by Sort Code when I go through security questions to allow them to access my application. Is this normal? I’m sure I put the details on the form. Thank you

@Fee89 @Matilde08 so the manager called me back I don’t remember her name she was lovely. She said she requested the NI number for me TODAY!!! I can’t believe it all the call handlers I spoke to said they requested the NI number on the 18th March!! She said it was miscommunication and she requested it for me today. Honestly the call handlers are liars! So upset that his application has just been sitting there for months and not moving forward. If I didn’t request the manager and let them just fob me off with ‘waiting for NI’ it would probably be the same shit for amother month.
hopefully things will move forward now, said it shouldn’t be anymore than 10days from now. If I don’t hear by then to give a call.
I really don’t want to call again

So glad at least some real clarification, but it's totally unacceptable that all the other call handlers gave you wrong information. It's like they are simply making up things. Hopefully from now on all you get is decision in coming days.

I have called them just once and already feel super anxious to call them again. Will wait couple of days, if nothing, give a go. They asked me to send them copy of my marriage certificate what I did same day I called them. I'm from Wolverhampton so should be delivered to them by now. But I'm not sure that should be the case why it takes longer.

It shouldn't take 24 weeks .. whole half year

Just called up DLA as my daughters claim ends next month. Wanted to see how far along the renewal is. She said it's still in a pile and that if the renewal date passes, I'll still receive payments as I sent the forms back before renewal date. That's not true is it?? Does anyone know how long renewals are taking at the moment please? I hope you all get some answers soon.

My son's DLA was due for renewal 10 May 24 and I received confirmation of the decision today (increased from mid rate to higher rate care with lower rate mobility). I sent the renewal paperwork towards end of Feb and I called to check it had been received on 6th March. New payment rate has now been backdated to 6th March for some reason- simply because I called to check it had been received - but I'm not going to question that! 😅 So took about 8 weeks but felt longer. Hope you hear soon.

Rang at 9 (523) scan date 8/1 my claims with a case manager and it’s just waiting to be looked at. It’s at the very end stages. The lady said if I havnt heard anything by the first week of may to call back. She also said it’s taking approximately 15 week

Just got off the phone, she said it is with a DM and i should have a decision soon as they are currently looking at it.
Got excited as she asked which bank would it be paid into which made me hopeful 😂

I could not help myself and called while I walked back from school. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong options and the guy that answered said he couldn’t tell me anything 😒
Called again once I got home and got through relatively quick, had a mouthful of digestive and nearly choked but the guy did his questions and then took like 10 minutes typing in silence. Never been so tense in my life.

Long story short, CM from Friday was right, decision was made on HRC and HRM to 2028 (he will be 16) and the adjusted payments were issued as well as letter.

I did keep it together, just… just wanted to tell you all mums out there that there’s light at the end of the tunnel! It was exactly 14 weeks for us but something I should have done many years ago. Better late than never!

I think mine has been about 6 weeks. I did keep putting off doing the form though. Happy for you that yours is all sorted.

The funniest thing I haven’t received letters either as the system didn’t recognise my address.
it’s been fixed now but till now I’ve had nothing dla callers confirmation and it’s driving me insaneeee.

It won’t be a declined. We will get what our child deserves at somepoint! Just wish they would get a move on😂

@SAM2409 I think after not being taken seriously by my sons primary school until right at the end of year 6 I have convinced my self that I was pushed back at every hurdle since he was a toddler (now 13) so why will it be easy this time , having 15 weeks to over think everything has not been helpful 🙈🤣
