They also asked for the last 4 digits of my long bank card number which i know isn't on the form.... Is this a possible sign of them awarding or am i just clutching at straws 😂🫣

When my son was awarded it was the only time they asked me for bank details as security when the decision had been made

They've asked for my sort code and account number last week but this is first time asking for the e last 4 digits and i know that's not on the form

Did they say we want to make sure you bank details are correct? Sorry it wasn’t for security it was before she told me there was a award

ohh!!! That’s a new one?! Where would they get that information?

I dont have a clue! My only thought would be if something is set up ready as they wouldn't need it otherwise

I would defo call back and check progress later tbf cause that’s a strange one. Must be a sign of some sort of payment but you would think they wouldn’t need your long card number to set anything up.

Edited

I honestly dont get it, it threw me when she asked for it.
She was very vague about the claim too, just said it's with the dm but can still take up to 20 weeks but then others who have called today are getting told 15-17 weeks

Dee1606 · 22/04/2024 09:21

Yay! Scan date buddies. Have you called at all to find out how your claim is progressing? I'm too scared to call 😅

I’ve called a few times. To ask about extra evidence I sent. When I called last week they said end of April/may xx

RayahB · 22/04/2024 10:20

I've just got off the phone and the guy said it's taking 30 weeks. He said nothing is happening with the claim at the moment. I asked if it was with a decision maker but he didn't confirm

30 weeks?!?! That's mental! What's your scan date?

Chickapea77 · 22/04/2024 10:24

Goooood morning!
I could not help myself and called while I walked back from school. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong options and the guy that answered said he couldn’t tell me anything 😒
Called again once I got home and got through relatively quick, had a mouthful of digestive and nearly choked but the guy did his questions and then took like 10 minutes typing in silence. Never been so tense in my life.

Long story short, CM from Friday was right, decision was made on HRC and HRM to 2028 (he will be 16) and the adjusted payments were issued as well as letter.

I did keep it together, just… just wanted to tell you all mums out there that there’s light at the end of the tunnel! It was exactly 14 weeks for us but something I should have done many years ago. Better late than never!

Good luck to everyone. All the best to your little treasures 😘

Yes definitely let them know. Can I ask how long was your son awarded for? I'm only asking as it might make it easier when renewing as they might ask you if you've had his diagnosis yet? Just guessing tho 🤔

Aww that's new to me as I haven't sent any evidence to start off but I haven't received a letter requesting it.
