Hello I am new here ☺️
I've been reading your thread today and I'm a total newbie to Mumsnet so please forgive my lingo.
Parking 5/01, I do not believe I probably sent enough evidence but I have new evidence ready to send with a MR if rejected. My oldest son currently gets HRC HRM as he is disabled with complex needs. My youngest (who is current awaiting decision) is undiagnosed ASD, SPD, GDD. My question is when you receive the text from DWP that they are still looking at the application, does this mean that a DM has now started to look at it? I sent the form via recorded delivery, letter came to confirm scan date as 5/01. I only received the text last Monday. Haven't heard anything yet, I wasn't going to call but this thread makes me want to now 🤣🤣 Tia for any insight. Best of luck to all of you x

Hi we have the same scan date! I got the same text last Monday, called them Thursday or Friday, can't remember which, and they said it was in the queue to go to the decision maker. Called again yesterday and they said it's now with a decision maker. So no I think the text is just an automatic thing x

Aww thank you very much for the info, the whole process is so strange to me. It feels a lot more complicated and difficult than when I applied for my older son. Best of luck with your application I hope it is successful for you ♥️

I’m going to give them a call again today see what they say I need to update my bank details anyways.
does anybody else child have a problem with food? Mine everyday without fail will only have jacket potato at school. Then at home it has to be pizza or hotdogs but has to be brown tin hotdogs oh and they can not be warmed up have to come straight out the tin. Im worried about it. Tried speaking to school about it but just get fobbed of. Don’t know what other route to take

Mine only wants what he calls "soft eggs and rice" basically just boiled rice and eggs lol or noodles most days. He enjoys jacket potatoes too and a few other things. His food range isn't too small, but compared to what it used to be, it's definitely getting smaller. He also very rarely eats a decent sized meal, I'm genuinely wondering how he can have as much energy as he does when he doesn't seem to fuel his body 🫣 he will also lie about eating, and I have to constantly encourage him to eat the food on his plate even though its toddler sized meals. It's stressful lol xx

😂 a few of us had a discussion about this a few threads back, hot dogs definitely seem a winner for children with food problems, my daughter is hot dogs and plain pasta, I called the gp about it and they said as long as they are eating there’s no need to worry they will probably grow out of it but to give multi vitamins each day, really hope she will try new food soon 🤞

Mine doesn't eat properly at school, so I just feed him properly when he comes home . They even make him separate food but he just won't eat it.

Littlepip02 · 25/04/2024 07:55

Hey everyone!

I've now had my son's ASD diagnosis and the formal report, does anyone know what address I need to send this to for extra evidence? Do I need to call them? I don't think I can cope with hanging on for 2 hours 😫
My scan date was 16/2/24

That rude woman put me off calling! Chomping like a donkey and puffing away, not giving a care.
I'm going to wait until tomorrow as the other call handler had said and hopefully good news tomorrow!
thank you, I appreciate it! ❤️

I know! That message is so patronising! 😭
These call handlers have got my anxiety and mood all over the place being told different things each time I ring.
I am tempted to call again today, but just feel like if it's more bullshit (excuse my language!) it's just going to put me down again xx

Jkiss · 25/04/2024 09:08

Rang up 9am and answered straight away. Awarded MRC and LRM. Wasn’t expecting mobility at all! I hope everyone gets to speak to the man I spoke too he was so happy, humming little tunes down the phone and was really helpful. Scan date 10/01.

Jkiss · 25/04/2024 09:12

My dd doesn’t turn 5 until august so didn’t expect mobility. Does anyone know what happens with this? She’s awarded LRM so does this start from her birthday? I’m sure it’ll explain in the letter

Congratulations. Glad your little one got what they deserve 💝. I'm sure letter will explain but i will more than likely be mobility from the date of her birthday xx

Just phoned to check on progress on MR (dated 19/02) as I'd seen some others with slightly later dates getting their decision...

They are up to 9th February now he said

I did mention that there seemed to be some inconsistencies with when people were hearing back from the MRs and he assured me that they were being worked in date order

Anyway - I'll call again next week

(I sent in a ECHP needs assessment referall that nursery had completed and I only sent it Tuesday (to be signed for) and it was actually scanned on yesterday ! (The call handler said even he was surprised)

My little boy struggles... it's all about texture, look, smell, brand.. before we found out he actually has ARFID eating disorder, we thought he's just fussy eater.. but 2 years ago after he could recover from stomach bug and started to loose even more weight (he's already underweight) we ended up in hospital. Having regular visits with dietitian and pediatrician what I'm happy about. Here's progress as he at least tries new stuff, but pediatrician said with kids like him with this disorder the last thing to do is to forse him ..instead encourage to at least try. We are used to his limited diet, but it coasts extra.. as I have to make sure certain food and brand is always available at home.. so have to travel to certain shops. I'm happy as long as he's eating, but it's an extra stress sometimes where that extra support would be beneficial.

Brokenbey · 25/04/2024 09:53

Parking up! My scan date was the 11/01, called this morning and it’s been assigned to a DM as of yesterday. Any idea how long it’s usually from now? The only evidence we had is a private OT assessment report as she hasn’t been formerly diagnosed with ASD (impending though!). We have had to stop her private OT as it was costing £600 a month and we just can’t afford it. Already her behaviour has massively dipped and it’s only been 2 weeks. Im desperate for it to be approved so she can go back 😢
