Sorry question time!
How is the mobility worked out? I have seen smi and uvm? Bit I have no clue!
My little man (8) has asd &adhd diagnosed hypermobilty and on the length wait (3yrs) for dyspaxia although ot assessed and rang to say his scores were in the 0.1% for high probability ... he struggles with fine and gross motor and walking tires him super easily and causes pain (which he struggles to tell me) and is always falling or tripping ..stairs are difficult for him 2.... am I right in thinking they would poss award lrm?

If you go into detail and have plenty of evidence then i dont see why you wouldnt get hmr? Im unsure on smi etc so hopefully someone can give you more info. I know @Tasha0429 is currently awaiting smi coc. Maybe she can explain more xx

Yeah as fee said if you've got evidence to prove he meets all rules he should definitely get it, so if you Google smi rules there's a flow chart you have to meet each rule, and when answering the DLA questions give details of meets smi rules 1 ect if that makes sense there's loads of information online, I don't know the rules on VUW but apparently that's supposed to be similar from what I read off someone on here, don't take my word for that though xx

You're both so strong! ❤️ don't give up hope yet! These DMs and call handlers don't know half the crap we have go through for our poor little souls!

They are sometimes quite rude too . It's like we chose to have children with special needs and we like calling in .

Fee89 · 24/04/2024 22:45

@Akkhan94 I had a rude one last week. She kept calling my daughters claim a renewal then went on to say 'you have been told to wait 15 weeks' my response 'And you have been told its a new claim but still call it renewal so i guess thats both of us that dont listen' she wasnt very impressed 🤷🏻‍♀️

I bet she didn’t like that 😅 you probably humbled her and from then on she wasn’t rude to anyone again. Good one 😉

Fee89 · 24/04/2024 22:52

@TiredTilly If it stops them being rude to someone else then im glad 😂. When are you checking in for an update? Or are you waiting the full 10 days? Xx

I’m going to give them a ring on Monday see what progress has been made. Also having no luck with child benefit either 🙁 since when has child benefit been so difficult !
how many weeks you waited now?xx

sayasand · 24/04/2024 23:51

Hello I am new here ☺️
I've been reading your thread today and I'm a total newbie to Mumsnet so please forgive my lingo.
Parking 5/01, I do not believe I probably sent enough evidence but I have new evidence ready to send with a MR if rejected. My oldest son currently gets HRC HRM as he is disabled with complex needs. My youngest (who is current awaiting decision) is undiagnosed ASD, SPD, GDD. My question is when you receive the text from DWP that they are still looking at the application, does this mean that a DM has now started to look at it? I sent the form via recorded delivery, letter came to confirm scan date as 5/01. I only received the text last Monday. Haven't heard anything yet, I wasn't going to call but this thread makes me want to now 🤣🤣 Tia for any insight. Best of luck to all of you x
