DLA WAITING TIME 2024

OP posts:
Persianpoppy · 23/04/2024 14:59

I really don't understand why they tell people so many different things and secondly, it definitely isn't done in month order at all!
It is really frustrating at times because you'd think that they'd simply give decisions for same scan dates rather than doing them individually
I really do hope we get some good news ❤️

@HangryLimeBeaker hey, when did you send your forms? I don't have a scan date either

I called and the guy on the fone told me my scan date . The first time I just waited for months and didn't know about a scan date. I think it takes a week because I sent my papers 1st march and it was signed delivery and my scan date is 3rd March x

Reevalily2014 · 23/04/2024 15:37

Been watching for a while my scan date 8/1 just had a call asking why my claim was late as should of been back on 3rd Jan said I'd posted it in time it must of been delayed due to Christmas any ways she just said I'd have a decision in 24 hours .....

Kaz87 · 23/04/2024 15:53

@Persianpoppy it looks like they are wheezing through January now. It makes me really nervous. my stomach was doing back flips all day today and I keep overthinking things xx I really hope we get some answers soon xx

Jodess · 23/04/2024 16:01

I have not long rang them to ask when my scan date is and turns out it is 19/01. He said it can take 15-17 weeks from that date xx

Isn't it done in a sort of triage system order, so first they do urgent end-of-life cases (quite rightly!), then address the rest in order of severity (assessed by a first quick glance through at what evidence you sent etc), with a bump up in priority for everyone once it gets towards 20 weeks?

Mommy2boys30 · 23/04/2024 16:03

Does anyone know when you can go for mobility rate under the SMI rules is it 3 or 5 year old? My son is only 2 but 3 in August and we are 5/02 scan date

It probably is that way but surely they have designated DMs to deal with urgent referrals and all the other ones go into one pot and being shared between other DM? Just guessing tho

Kaz87 · 23/04/2024 16:06

@BestZebbie apparently it goes in date order or does it ? 🤔

It's not just the waiting that triggers all parts of my anxiety, it's the actual decision too! But just think of it this way, no news is good news! 🤞🏼 because surely if we didn't get it, they would have told us by now! ❤️

Reevalily2014 · 23/04/2024 16:11

It quite possibly could be like that I'm not too sure hun! Going through this thread does baffle me though because so many people with same scan date get told different things; ones get told 20 weeks, others told in a holding pile and so forth! x

I guess there is always the possibility that it is just a dozen overworked people in a room with a giant pile of folders, a kettle and an elderly flatbed scanner, so there is no fully coherent system about which one gets picked up next other than that they generally try to clear a month's heap before starting the one.... :D

Parking 01/02/2024 :)

I’ve been waiting since the 5th of April. I have called and left multiple messages. I only received one response so far, saying it’s been passed to a decision maker that’s it xx and whenever I call they tell me to wait to heir back via the journal

Just spoke to uc it’s been verified and sent to a decision maker, he said the timescale is up to 4 weeks but you can ask for it to be escilated after 4 weeks x

Mummyto5beautys · 23/04/2024 16:40

katiewil · 23/04/2024 07:01

I informed them of the changes on the 10th.. my next statement won't be showing until 06/05 so thinking it should show by then?
I asked them how long back pay will take and they also told me no time frame.. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just spoke to uc im finally verified they told me if the decision maker hasn’t made decision within 4 weeks i can ask for it to be escalated hun x

doingmybest23 · 23/04/2024 07:42

Hi I’ve been waiting 2 months for back payment from uc child disability element they saying no time frame but it does show up on my statements that I get it xx

Mines just been verified today it’s just been sent to a decision maker the man told me they have 4 weeks to make a decision then you can ask for it to be escalated
you need to put a note on your journal stating that you have waited 2 months and want it escalated and ask for a case manager to look into it for u x

I find Fridays and Mondays are award days when reading the threads.
