Another day over & i managed not to call 🥳. @Tasha0429 @Nickij2024 I'm taking my info from you both 😂 x

@Fee89 i have been doing exceptionally well at not calling 😂 but I feel like tomorrow is the day to end that run.

Most of the awards seem to be from early Jan but that’s a few people from around our scan date who have been told they are with a decision maker and it’s making me twitchy haha x

TiredTilly · 22/04/2024 21:36

@Fee89 hoping you hear some good news tomorrow 🤞 xx

Fee89 · 22/04/2024 21:56

@Nickij2024 Keep us updated. I just want to know where in the wait i am 😂 x

@TiredTilly Im hoping you hear something this week. Il just be happy knowing mine is in d.m pile x

Thanks everyone for the good vibrations throughout! Yes, mine was a CoC because his teacher suggested he was entitled to the higher rates, I would have been none the wiser otherwise… it’s always worth challenging things.

I've applied for a COC as it's been suggested by the school. My son has Agenisis of the corpus collosum and his needs are more than what I put down in first claim. How long did it take for you to get an answer x

I just had a thought, my scan date is 10/04 and that makes 16 weeks the end of July and 20 weeks is end of August, so how are they going to speak to the school in the holidays? SENCO is more than happy to speak to them but now I can't help but think they will decline because they won't be able to speak to the school 🤔 xx

You have the same concern I do, I’m 9/2 which means the 15/16 week mark will fall just at the start of our school holidays. It’s only a 2 week break but I’ve no idea how long they wait for school to get back to them, and also our school doesn’t pride itself on communicating so that is worrying me massively too. So if school don’t contact them back straight away then what happens. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I called 19/12, they scanned form 12/01 , had two letters, no texts and they called exactly on the day it was 14 weeks to ask for clarification on nights and made decision straight away.
I was expecting to receive a message this week and have a decision over next two weeks but it looks like we have been lucky. Maybe because there was no much evidence as it’s been almost 10 years from original claim.
I just wish they had asked at some point what his current needs were, we never had a review.

Is anyone having a nightmare with uc verifying the disabled child element Iv been waiting 3 weeks nearly and it’s still not verified

I informed them of the changes on the 10th.. my next statement won't be showing until 06/05 so thinking it should show by then?
I asked them how long back pay will take and they also told me no time frame.. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Emzi538 · 23/04/2024 07:26

Morning!
Congrats on the awards! And good luck to those calling today!
I am still being good, as highly doubt will be done before mid may at the earliest, and I have a lovely 2hr Teams call to keep my ds on the adhd list! Need coffee...

Jodess · 23/04/2024 07:34

Hi all 😘new here but silently been watching since a few threads ago lol. Unsure on scan date but I did get a call on 23/01 from them just double checking something on the form so I knew they had it. Received a letter dated on 7/03 saying they are still looking at the claim, heard nothing since then. 13 weeks today since they called me.

This thread has kept me going through out. Fingers crossed we all hear soon. Xx

Oh I'm not holding out any hope then as I only added it 2 weeks ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ 2 months is a crazy time if it's been verified! I don't even know anyone who successfully has had back payment either!x

07whatever · 22/04/2024 18:11

I received that text on the 15th.
Will you be calling them at all? I will try and find some point tomorrow to give them a call, didn't get a chance today

@07whatever Thank you 🙏 I’ve got patients back to back today Weds and Thurs. I’m finishing at 3pm instead of 5pm on Friday so will be brave and call then. The wait is so difficult especially when you’re leaving your child struggling, and some acknowledgment of their needs would mean the possibility of reducing hours and getting extra support ie tutoring. Fingers crossed for you and everyone today. Xx

Will update this with what they say.
It's a hard struggle isn't it, juggling work with children with additional needs is tough going, I'm self employed so when we have appts or a day where my child cannot even function properly I miss out on pay and I hate letting others down :(
🤞 for some positive news this week!

I called first thing this morning and got straight through without any hold music!

Scan date 04/01.

They said that it went to a decision maker yesterday so they would expect me to hear by Monday.

That's very different from what I was told yesterday, but I'm going to cling onto it. I don't think I'll call again before Monday as it's really stressing me out.

Same scan date as me and when I called yesterday she never mentioned anything about even going yo a DM and only said that it will take 16/17weeks but could be anytime so hopefully whoever you spoke to today didn't lie.
