I'm at 16 weeks now, wasn't with a DM either when I called last week!

I've mentally prepared for 20 weeks having read this thread 😅

Self harming, take to childrens a&e either when she has done it or when you notice. She will then be passed to childrens mental health and taken as a priority so will be seen while in hospital. Regarding the passing blood id ask for a diabetes test as that can be linked to diabetes aswell. Also to help with your dla claim, keep a diary for a week. Her school senco can do a referral to camhs if they havnt already? X

Thank you so much for your advice. It happened because I had taken her phone from her to make sure she slept, but it was a bad mistake as only afterwards and researching did I realise it helps her regulate. She refused to let me take her to GP or hospital and begged me not to tell school (I did email them though). I will definitely ask for a diabetes test tomorrow - I can cal tomorrow as she will be school and can’t eavesdrop.

I asked school for help but they said they can’t as she performs well - they don’t understand that she’s told me to die or swore at me all morning as I tried to get her to school and again as soon as she comes home because she’s masked all day. They did refer her to CAMHS but again, she’s refusing to engage. I have read up on PDA autistic profile and it’s her to a tee. I’ve just had a good cry in the car after walking the dog.

Hope everyone has good news this week and that you all have a good, happy and calm week too

You sound just like me 5 years ago with my eldest. Im sending huge hug your way 💞. I know the battle is tiring and you feel at breaking point but trust me the battle is worth it. One of the hardest things i had to learn was to stop pretending everything is fine. We are humans, we are allowed to cry, scream and shout. Just know you are doing your best and she does love you x

I'm not mentally prepared to wait 20weeks🥺 honestly struggling so bad without any transport, we are stuck in the house most of the time as it's to dangerous for us to go anywhere safely 😔 so mentally frustrating. I really hope I don't have to take it to tribunal! 🙏🙏

Sarahdestiny · 07/04/2024 15:49

Week 8 of my 2 MRs this week hopefully will get a outcome within the next 2 weeks hoping I don't have to go tribunal as I have been going through this since august 2023 and it has dragged so long
1 Mr is for HRC for my 2 year non verbal autistic boy
2nd MR for my 10 year old adhd/Asd currently under mental health for other ongoing issues HRM under SMI

Not long now fingers crossed 😀 🙏

CornishMama2 · 07/04/2024 16:16

On a DLA advice page, Ive just seen that multiple people have had payments in their banks today for a new claim, and have rang DLA for an update and got one......
Its Sunday?
I thought that you wont get a payment on a Sunday, and I didnt think lines were open on a Sunday?
I dont understand?

Maybe if they worked a few weekends they'd catch up a bit 🤣.

Seriously though if it was any business and not the government this would be so unacceptable.

Fee89 · 07/04/2024 18:20

Sad thing is, if it was them requesting money from us it would be sorted in 1-2 days

Payment is usually recieved in 3-5 working days so I'd say Tuesday the earliest 🙂 my daughter was awarded on a Tuesday and I recieved it on the Friday after.

A few on past threads say a few days to a week really but only if you phone up to make the change, not to do it through the app as that won't back date it, keep us informed if you get it back payed soon
