Hi how do you no if UC has verified it? Someone messaged me back 2 days ago saying they’ll send to a decision maker xx

Rang today the short way. Was totes unhelpful and found out nothing. They just said it could be up to the full 20 weeks so by 7 May as I’m 19/12!

Hi does anyone know if the minimum income floor will be applied if you receive dla and the disabled child element? Iam self employed.

Hey sorry to jump on your post just wanted to know if u can help me. I updated my uc on Friday when I found out my daughter had bin awarded. They got bk to me today say cares element had bin Verified but the disabled element had to be sent to someone else to be verified was this the case for you ? Also can you apply for the change of circumstances advance in my journal? Xxx

yeah that’s the same for me they have to get it verified through a different team which seems to be taking a while i did mine a week ago so hopefully not long now
and no you ring up the universal credit number option 3 and ask for a change of circumstances advance you should be able to get a second one for changing to be a carer too xx

Ok thank you so much this really helps do you know how much it is? I already had a advance when I set my uc claim up 2 years ago and still paying that back did not think I cud get one again. Xxx

Also do they pay this same day or does it take 3 days?

U won’t be able to get another budgeting advance but you can get advances every time you have a change in circumstances as long as the change means you will be getting a higher amount of uc and I’m unsure I’m hoping it’s straight away as I need one to buy equipment for my son the last time I had one was 5 years ago but no they still do them as my neighbour got hers last year for her daughters change in circumstances x

Hi, has anybody on here applied for dla for their child for anorexia/ eating disorder as a main condition and have been awarded please? My scan date is 04/01 and I know that they are still awarding December dates even tho I have seen early January being awarded I can't help but think that my daughters condition isn't enough to get an award and I have that gut feeling it's gonna be declined. I'm sorry for ranting but the wait is horrendous 😢 I hope all of you applying will get what your children deserve x

Hi, i personally havnt applied for my children for this reason but a friend does get dla for above reason with her daughter. Middle care. We all understand how draining this wait is and our mind gets the better off us. If for whatever reason they reject just remember its not the end and you can fight it. Although you are seeing Jan claims just remember there is still twice as many dec claims still to be looked at 💕

Only just 8 weeks waiting and iv just recieved my second letter saying they are still looking at it, is this pretty standard ? X

Yeah, i got my 2nd letter roughly 2 weeks ago which would be 8 weeks from scan date x

Hey love, it's not about diagnosis or what conditions they have, it's about how their needs are different to a child their age, and if they need more care, Don't doubt yourself 🥰 you've got your daughter's best interests and you clearly knew she needed help ❤️ Like fee said if for any reason she gets declined then you fight, and everyone is here for the same reasons, so don't be sorry for messaging if it helps then keep posting 🥰 I was the same Ive been watching reading for months 😂❤️

Hi, scan date 6/3 I phoned for forms 20/2, is it normal I have not received any letter/text about this yet, as been almost 8 weeks and I still do not no my child's reference number as I have evidence to send, sorry its late, up with my child.

I'd personally give them a call and makesure they have it, I received a letter within 2weeks, but I'm sure I've read others that haven't received any. Xx

Thank you for your message, I know dla is more about their needs than diagnosis but it's always crossing my mind if i have put enough on the form ? Now I'm thinking that I've rushed through the form and didn't put enough or have missed something but we'll see and if she gets declined like you and fee say I'll fight and make sure my daughter gets what she deserves. I hope there's plenty awards today and good luck to everybody ❤️

I’m the same everyone seems to have sent a lot more evidence all I had was my daughters individual health care plan (IHP not EHCP) and her epilepsy diagnosis.

Morning all, I checked my bank balance first thing & there was a deposit from DLA! No letter or text received. I’ve worked it out to be MRC & LRM.
Scan date 15/12.
