Will they tell me rates if I phone the quick way? Or do I need to wait 2 hours for them to tell me?

The quick way they cant see all your info on account. Will need to be long way x

Seems a lot of 15/12 have been done which is my scan date…wondering if it’s worth me ringing again. I promised myself I would t ring until Monday.

Summerrabbit · 10/04/2024 15:07

I’m the same date @80smam. I tried calling earlier but it was a long wait so I gave up. I may try calling tomorrow morning. I’ll let you know if I do.

Scan date 19/12. Just got off phone it's with decision maker but no notes on system so she said that means it hasn't been looked at yet and to give it a week before calling back because they're allocated loads at the same time.

Same date as me! Good luck to you x

Dont stress yourself out too much. I used the address from a letter i had recieved to send extra info x

Thank you, I’ve actually just come home to a generic letter saying sorry we’re still looking at your claim and we’ll be in touch soon. No need to call. So shall I send it to the address on that letter? Assuming the reference is now his national insurance number x

Fee89 · 10/04/2024 14:58

I was told 3 weeks ago it was with DM so rang yesterday to find out why it was taking so long and the call handler left a message with DM asking him to hurry up lol

Fee89 · 10/04/2024 15:25

@MrsRawl Yeah use the address from that letter x

@Rudolftheorange My daughters claim was sent 15th Jan, they recieved it 16th and was scanned onto system 30th Jan x

Mummyto5beautys · 10/04/2024 16:31

HRL · 10/04/2024 16:09

What’s one of them?

its the same as a budgeting advance but you get one cause of a change in circumstances x

Jadexxx92 · 10/04/2024 09:36

They say it can be with DM upto 2weeks so I definitely wouldn't think you will be waiting much longer at all xx

I called on 22/03 to check what was happening and was told was with a dm and called again today and still no decision so that’s nearly 3 weeks it’s been with a dm might be longer than that because I didn’t ask what day it went to a dm but it was definitely with one on the 22/03 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve been told so many different things though. Today I called and was told it’s been with a dm since 19/12 that was my scan date 🤦🏻‍♀️ the man must of been new sounded like he was reading from a script 😩 he was nice though 😂 x

Gretty89 · 10/04/2024 17:06

@Justkeepsplashing @Kirstygingee im 19/12 too! Been with dm around 3 weeks now still no decision x

I was just going to say this. Seem like you get more info from 523 way it’s longer but worth it 😂 x

Summerrabbit · 10/04/2024 17:11

Ah so 1523 is the long way. What’s the quick way?

Gretty89 · 10/04/2024 17:13

@LittleMiss2000 so sorry 😞 keep fighting for it xx hope it’s not to long of a wait for the mr for you x

TiredTilly · 10/04/2024 17:14

Emmajm85 · 10/04/2024 12:46

i can’t remember now 😂 but it’s the option that says if your calling to check the progress of a claim if you’ve been waiting more than 20 weeks - that’s the quicker way but less info x

Is it 1513 the short way but they don't know Jack s**t if you use those options lol

Summerrabbit · 10/04/2024 17:27

Thank you! Ok this makes more sense now. I think I will try again tomorrow morning at 9am.
Congrats on those that have been awarded & solidarity with those that haven’t. I am worried ours will be declined- let’s see.

katiewil · 10/04/2024 17:31

This question has probably been asked loads

I've updated universal credit - added her DLA and the rate she is awarded
Also asked on journal for it to be backdated from award date 15/11
Will they backdate from that long ago?
And do I need to do anything? Or wait another 20 weeks for universal 🤣

They should backdate it from the start of the dla claim. I only just got awarded also scandate 29/12 and I’ve asked them for a backdate. No response so far. It really depends to be honest. Could be quick could be a few weeks.

They have to verify ur child recieved dla first I updated mine last week still waiting for it to be verified feels like the dla wait isn’t over with ucs wait after it’s verified it’s then sent to decision maker to decide on the back date then u have to wait for ur work coach to send the money so yeah it’s another long wait xx
