So happy you’ve been awarded! My son is on the SEN register at school, has special circumstances in place, is behind with his learning and displaying strong signs of autism/adhd so has been referred for assessment and the decision maker said “showing no differences to any other child his age” 🤷🏼‍♀️ gutted xxx

@MimiRae Ask to have a meeting with senco. As it seems like them calling school is what made it decline. In your MR you need to prove school didnt back what you were saying. Send copy of your son on the SEN reg. And latest school report showing he is working below target. Try keeping to emails with school so you can print them and send as proof x

@MimiRae, so sorry, it’s so deflating isn’t it? I got declined myself for PIP so I know the feeling. These bloody schools honestly, they don’t have a clue! Even though DD is no longer attending school due to lack of urgency in terms of putting adjustments in place the school still insist DD is totally fine & everything they do is amazing 🙄.

So sorry to hear that and thank you ❤️ they’re useless honestly as soon as he said he was contacting the school I had a sinking feeling 😣 I do try and stay really positive with things but my gut instinct just told me that was going to cause problems! Xx

Finally got through to someone who knows what they’re doing!!

Been awarded high rate care for my Autistic son,
if there are any parents out there thinking if they should apply do!

This going to help massively for his development
