DLA WAIT TIME THREAD 38

Nothing at all my statements went on today and my sons dla element was t on I’m on the phone to them now trying to get put through to the verifications team to try and speed things along think a 16 week dla decision waits long enough not waiting the same amount of time for uc 🤣

They taking a while with mine they don’t seem to know anything when I’m on the phone Iv asked to be put through to the verification team

Waste of time after been put on hold they can’t email them there’s a 2 week delay for verifying so to ring back in 2 weeks if I haven’t heard anything x

I'll wait for my appointment next Monday and ask face to face,
By then it would have been 13 days since I made the changes!
Just write a note in your journal daily amd keep asking them to check if verified x

Hi, I only found out they awarded me coz I checked my bank and I could see a payment. No texts or letters. When I called them up I was told the rates and how long the award is for. So they should tell you also 😳😳

I think the only reason i got a text is because last week i rang up and asked them to text me if i have been awarded and she put a note in the system for me, This was on Friday if i don't get the money backpay by Wednesday then there's something wrong i think

Mine also went to a dm the 2nd of April and got a decision the same day xx

Tax credits don’t do back payments. They will have added to year entitlement and will pay it weekly.

They do. I got back payment for eldest when she got dla and back payment when she went from middle dla to high care on pip last year x

@Chickapea77 If you are tax credits and not been backdated i suggest you call them and ask for it to be backdated xx

Does anyone know… if your child is awarded DLA, can you claim the carers element on UC if you’re claiming limited capability for work on UC?

@Tracy37x Hi, no you can't you will recieve the highest payment which will be the Lcwra, I recieve lcwra and my dd recieves HRC and I don't get the carers element.

No you can’t you get whichever is the highest amount

@Emmajm85 how long do you wait on hold for child benefit. It’s been ages for me it’s like dla call line 😩

They never did with any of my kids as far as I can remember they just added the entitlement for the period and paid it weekly from then on. Either way my tax credits are closed now. They are claiming an overpayment though because my eldest left education and they took ages to update it. It’s exhausting.

@Chickapea77 Thats shocking!! That is on them not you surly? I always phone up as every call is logged. They tried asking for 2k backpay from me when i changed jobs saying i didnt inform them of new wage rates. I requested the recording of my call and sent them that. They finally accepted fault and closed that case x

On another note. I have just seen 31.01 and 02.02 scan dates have been awarded

It can take Upto 7 workings days it depends on the bank. Hopefully you will receive it next few days xx

I Just called to double check they received my evidence as the person I spoke to last week seemed too confused and didn’t fill me with confidence.
Whilst on the phone I asked if I could receive a text once a decision is made and she said they don’t do that. Obviously they do as I’ve seen plenty of people on here receive them but she was adamant they don’t and that I had been advised incorrectly. Frustrating to say the least.

Im hoping to get a text tbh, if not I will
ring this Fri to check progress, or lack of perhaps
