What is your scan date?
I think that's a generic text sent out around week 14/15 that's when I had it anyway

28/12

How long after receiving text at 14/15 weeks did people hear whether they’d been awarded? Give us some hope 🙏🤪

It’s under children and people who live with you x

Edited

And either the date do I put todays date or the date that DLA is backdated from? Xx

Shabutie · 08/04/2024 12:43

My scan date is 20/12.

I received the same text 03/04, bang on 15 weeks.

Still with the DM, but supposedly been with them since 22/03 🤷‍♀️

Pretty sure it's just standard once you hit 15 weeks - covering themselves as letters sent acknowledging claim usually state a 15 week wait to hear the outcome.

Thank you so much for all your support through this rough experience, a manager has taken a look at my DD case and has awarded HRC and LRM to be backdated to 04/10! I wish all your outcomes to be what you want and very very soon ❤️

So pleased for you! 🎉🎉

I never had the 15 week ‘we are still looking at your DLA claim message.’ I’m 15/12- hopefully not a bad sign!

That is awful - I didn’t even know they could reject referrals! I know they’re behind but surely they can’t just reject referrals as clearly they are turning away children who need the support that comes from getting a diagnosis.
Have the school been no help in supporting a referral? If not have you spoke to your GP? I know they prefer referrals to come from school but when children mask it’s not as simple as that.

I really feel for you. It’s so hard as a parent to feel like you’re constantly having to fight for your child in every aspect of their life. X

Yes I've been to GP, GP tells me to self refer him to cahms.
I've referred him to cahms about 4/5 times, on my third assessment over the phone the lady told me she could see how much support we needed. A week later I got a letter through the door saying they have closed his referral and bullet pointed 3 other places to refer him too.
Like I said previously it's been a battle, a battle getting any support whatsoever, he masks so much and sometimes I sit there and think I'm going crazy. He's 11 and he still sleeps with me every night, he can't fall asleep without there and if I go to get up he wakes up and says he's scared.
But if we had this conversation in school he'd tell his teacher he wants to sleep on his own 🤦🏻‍♀️ he's very good at telling people what they want to hear!!

Mine was completed in 10 days, they will update your previous claims and write on your journal and let you know it’s been updated and if there’s any money owed to you, refund is usually about 3 working days

How long would it take to goto a decision maker for the backdate on uc

Nope not yet, I put a note in today asking them to check if it's been verified yet, but heard nothing back, will put another one tomorrow, I have an appointment with them next Monday so if I hear nothing back I'll ask whilst I'm in there,
Have u heard anything? X

The dm and changing previous awards etc was all done on the same day ( day 10 ) mine may have taken alittle longer because I applied for carers allowance and I had to update them once I heard from them but it was all done the day after I updated my carers allowance
