So it took 23 weeks

I was thinking the same thing 😩 I think the postman must have thought I was stalking him I'd be up at the window everyday waiting for the letter

Spoke to child benefit and they confirmed my claim is lost, so I’ve just reapplied online now and it didn’t ask me to print anything off and send by post this time so hopefully should hear within 2 weeks 🤞 any joy your end?
im not calling DLA, don’t think there’s any point. Just fed up with it all by now 🙄 xx

Nope, I imagine it was just backlogged, my daughter ended up getting middle rate care and not the mobility part because she's only 3

My OH was the one who did the application so it was him who had to chase them up and anytime he called they just said the claim was in progress and gave no real insight other than that. I'm glad it's all over it was a really stressful time.

how the hell do I report it to UC I’ve taken a look at the options on “report a change” but I’m clueless x

I called the long way as I find you can get more out of them xx

That is awful - I didn’t even know they could reject referrals! I know they’re behind but surely they can’t just reject referrals as clearly they are turning away children who need the support that comes from getting a diagnosis.
Have the school been no help in supporting a referral? If not have you spoke to your GP? I know they prefer referrals to come from school but when children mask it’s not as simple as that.

I really feel for you. It’s so hard as a parent to feel like you’re constantly having to fight for your child in every aspect of their life. X

Beep beep 19/01 and 29/01 scan dates still a long wait ahead, hopefully be awarded in time for the summer holidays, days out are so expensive it takes a min of 3 adults one each for my neuro spicy boys one has high ADHD, no sense of danger will run away he's 9 and will just jump into any body of water if the idea takes him, ADHD,ASD and speech delayed 6 yr old is prone to overstimulation in loud or busy places, will also do a runner at will, and one adult for non spiceys x 3.

I'm waiting for a response to my child's DLA form that I submitted on 23 January. I'm not sure what the "scan date" would be? I have had two letters of acknowledgement, but neither has given a firm day for a likely response.

I hope not she gave me a time frame of 10-14 days but hoping it's sooner lol xx

I think that's a generic text sent out around week 14/15 that's when I had it anyway
