Yeah real simple to set up, you can then see your next 8 week payments. I think the element is 105 a week x

Summerrabbit · 03/04/2024 10:09

@Taffylass72, that’s madness! What more can they possibly require?! I’m so sorry, it’s so stressful. Maybe a previous poster’s suggestion of trying to speak to a manager would work. All these things take extra time & effort though which you can’t afford.

MyNavyMaker · 03/04/2024 10:10

so I got a text this morning to call them re bank details. Spoke to a lovely lady didn't get her name, my daughters been awarded hrc lrm until 2028! She went through every little detail with me and got me to get pen and paper to write it all down. Scan date 13/12. Good luck on all your decisions! X

Girlandboymama · 03/04/2024 10:15

Scan date 12/12/2023.
Text received 25/03/2024 stating they’re still looking at our claim.
I don’t think I’ll bother ringing until 20 weeks.
I expect they’re trying to contact my daughter’s nursery anyway who are closed for Easter.

Kirstygingee · 03/04/2024 10:18

Just had a text to say they're still looking into claim, how long after did people get their decision?

Emmajm85 · 03/04/2024 10:20

@kristie198 Are you still on hold? Xx

Hello

Called for DLA forms 30th November

Returned forms in timescale received by (date stamp to be returned by 11/01)

Received letter 7th March stating forms scanned 11/01

Telephoned DLA on 18th March to enquire what to do as daughter turning 16yrs on 24th March, had not had an outcome on DLA yet and do I need to call PIP to claim on 25th March

Person I spoke to took me through security including daughters specialist nurse school bank details etc and then said ‘No you don’t have to phone PIP, you will need to wait until we write out to you.’

Phoned today got through to Samir, as this has been worrying me and asked same question . Samir said I need to phone PIP as case closed with DLA at 16yrs.

Asked Samir what has happened to DLA claim (forms requested 30th November) she said she is not sure and it will be 20 weeks before I know and that my claim is closed because my child is 16yrs.

should I take this as a decline and start process with PIP from scratch?

Ring pip, explain to them you applied x date and your child is now 16 but dla have not made an award. Ask if they can see your childs dla evidence, if they can ask for new pip claim to be sent and for that evidence to be added with your childs new claim. If you will be handling your childs pip claim and money you also need to apply to be their apointee. If pip can not see your dla evidence call dla back and ask for a call back from a manager. If your child is entitled to dla then you will be owed back payment but also dla contiune to pay until pip has been awarded or declined. Hope that makes sense x

@Mammy1979 This is my concern also, my DD turns 16 in May, I've applied to DLA for ASD/ADHD issues, we were declined on 04/03 due to no diagnosis as I'm struggling to get her on the pathway as she masks in school, was put into MR straight away, which are now taking 11 weeks which is the day after my daughter turns 16.

Kirstygingee · 03/04/2024 10:46

15/12 scan date.
Just got through and been told it's not with decision maker, will go to one middle of the month and get decision by end of April, so defo looking more like 20 weeks wait

same scan date currently 45 min on hold was told with decision maker so just seeing if any further update x

Fee89 · 03/04/2024 10:48

@sjm100 You can do your own referal to camhs. Keep a detailed diary for a week. Print out any facts you can find regarding girls masking. Dla is not based on a diagnosis as much as they like to tell you it is. My eldest is adhd, asd and more. She is now 17 but applied when she was much younger. We got declined. I appealed and sent nhs fact sheets on adhd and asd 😂

I don’t even think they can see anything I think they just say what they want to get off the phone x

She is already under Camhs for anxiety, her therapist is doing everything possible to get her on the ND pathway as she can see the issues also especially since the ASD and ADHD fight against each other but here in Wales we need 2 settings to see the issues to be accepted on the ND Pathway and this is what we are struggling with. If the MR gets declined I think I will send the nhs fact sheet, but by then we'll need to look into pip for her.
