Also done an MR for my other child under SMI and VUW was submitted on the 6th Feb 2024

Been a slow week this week on the thread,

Oh same!! Every night I walk out my little lads room after getting him to sleep and whisper to myself “wtaf” 🥰😆 he’s gorgeous bless him just SO BUSY and reactive 😅 I have ran my own business in the hair extension industry for 12 years but I honestly feel so over it lately! I also have quite a good following on social media talking all about how backward society is now with the pressures on women to still be the main homemaker and child raiser while also now working as well?! And we wonder why so many mothers are burnt out, on antidepressants and suffering with anxiety. Women aren’t designed to do all of those roles at once it’s exhausting and unnatural. We are the nurturers of the world and are all ripped from our babies too soon to return to work and pay someone else to look after them? It’s mental. I really feel I may finally close my business and finally get to just be a mother ❤️ so don’t ever feel guilty for wanting to do that!! It’s in your genetic makeup to want to just be a mother ❤️ but yes the timing is a p take but we move! We are ally hoping you get your award this week my love xxx

Hi all,
has anyone recently had a decision from a MR, how long are they roughly taking?
tomorrow I’ll be starting the 9th week, originally told 7weeks and received a letter last week stating 15weeks! Xx

It really is so hard on us mums isn't it? I certainly don't feel guilty about my job, because they don't care about me as long as I turn up and there is enough staff on to cover the ward. My family are nothing to them and they don't care who has my kids so I can work. The caring NHS...I can assure you it isn't towards its staff. A lot of it being highlighted during covid, just no compassion.
I just feel guilty on my family that I feel ive been torn from for the past 15 years in my career.

Hey can anyone enlighten me to how long it takes uc to backdate the disabled child element and caters element on the claim. I've seen loads of people saying they got it quite soon after they done a change of circumstances but my daughter got accepted nearly a month ago and I just got a message saying there no time frame. Quite frustrating.

@Mummytoviboys I got quoted 6-8 weeks - then got a letter stating 11 weeks,
from what I believe (from other posts) it goes to another DM's pile at week 8

but who knows!

Anyone calling today?

So my backdate pay was issued on Wednesday and I still haven’t received it yet any idea why taking so long

Had a missed call from dwp number Thurs when I tried calling back it says “we tried to call you earlier if we need to we will call back later” Do they call back? It won’t let me call back. Scan date 6/12 had 2 letters and 1 txt stating they are dealing with the claim . Could they be requesting more info or could it be a decision?
