@Emma2345 I think they all say different things tbh. It’s no wonder we’re all driving ourselves crazy. I’m only 18wks today from scan date so not as bad if I don’t count from calling up for forms. I say only, but still a long time. Hopefully I’ll hear by next week or maybe a nice surprise by Christmas! 😂 Just hoping it isn’t all this time for a decline. x

That wouldn’t surprise me 😂.. 15/11 I’m quite away yet but seen a few November dates awarded so I thought I’d ring to see what was happening x

We are are similar, I sent 2 SALT reports, early help review from school which is like referral to asd pathway I think, she was born with a blood vessel anomaly in her brain (although discharged from Neurosurgery when she was 3) so I sent her diagnoses letter off for that and she's been referred back to them to discuss if it could have caused obstacles she's facing now

Basically all I had to support what we go through every day so I am not confident at all!

@Debs243 I’ve seen a few mid Nov dates awarded. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer. 🤞🏻

@Amycroft glad you got your back date, I am 2 weeks into the wait with UC and still no closer to getting our backdate! I'm stressing, they just keep telling me there is no time scales. Is there anything I can do to speed it up? X

@Amycroft I've rang several times, including today, just to be told it's with DM and there is no way to rush it basically just wait it out. Did u ring daily x

@Gracie1909 i was 1 day over 2 weeks

I only rang twice but the second time I rang I said that noone is replying to me at all no matter what I put on my journal

Noone ever said to me it was with a dm and there's no time scale?

I just got a call today from my case manger and she said ive had it all approved for you

But I'm thinking maybe they nudged it because there was a technical issue as literally noone woukd reply to me at all

It's the most frustrating thing especially as it's the weekend soon too! Just hang in there it should be next week deffo!!

Thankyou @Amycroft x they do keep replying to my journal when I ask for update and just keep saying with DM will let you know when we get update etc etc but it's very frustrating..fingers crossed for next week x

Can I ask anyone whose child is under SALT my son has his first appointment this Monday coming will she write me a report that day ? Not sure how it all works if not I would hope she can at least write me a letter to say he is under SALT as I would like to send this in as extra evidence x?

I didn't receive a report straight away it was a couple of weeks later

No a report after the 1st session and then another after the second session, your area may do it differently though

@Emma2345 my son is under SALT too we was same as @bonz2023 they did do a report from first visit but didn’t get report for few week. We have had 3 visits so far had reports from two of them I did ask if would get a new report from latest visit which was Jan 2024 but they said they don’t do reports every visit if there’s no significant change. Waiting on next visit being booked now. I found some things really helpful from them but other things not so we are currently working on objects of reference which my son is not comprehending at all but will keep trying.

Couldn’t make this stupid system up. I’ve received a letter today telling me that I should be responsible on how I spend the allowance. I haven’t actually received my awards letter or payment yet !! If I hadn’t phoned yesterday it would have been completely out the blue this letter.

I wonder if I can write to the government and threaten them how not to spend my taxes

Can we write on our UC journal for an update on our claim? I had no idea we could do this! Or have I got the completely wrong end of the stick 🙈 scan date 2/11 x

@Gracie1909 I called and said I was told to manually report the changes on the journal and by phone as I'm aware there's tight timescales 😂

Whether the DM gonna tell me anything new guess I'll find out if they bother ringing 😂

@RainsbowandBunnies i called today (and yesterday) and it’s with a DM but they didn’t know how long it had been with them for and the DM hasn’t made any notes about what they had done or anything. I messed up the forms, just found it so stressful and can’t see it being awarded but I think I’ve got to the point of, well at least I’d know either way.

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 I felt I'd mess mine up but in hindsight I didn't I was just forgetting what I wrote because it's so long ago you doubt yourself!!
I'm sure you will be fine worst case is do an MR and go in depth then that would've been my next move
