Hi all, long time lurker here. Just wanted to update had payment go into bank today 😊 my scan date was 13/10 and I had 2 letters and one txt on 22/1. I was waiting for a second text or a text saying we had been awarded but didn’t get either. Good luck everyone x

I just missed a call from who I think must be DM, as no signal in hospital. Does anyone know when I can expect a call back please ?

I called first thing this morning at 9 on the dot & got through in 4minutes. Try calling first thing. X

They still haven’t updated to reflect disabled child element because it’s still sat in some decision makers inbox and has been since 18/1! The carer element was approved same day but no back pay because they said they’d wait for disabled child decision to approved and then pay the total backpay in one payment. Carer element was added to my next statement at end of Jan and had the payment for that month as part of normal payment, but they didn’t update previous statements until today when I asked. I’ve been nagging every few days but they just keep saying it takes as long as it takes and there’s no set timeframe which is even more frustrating than waiting for the DLA decision in the first place!

How long do I have to do a MR for rates ?

@MommaG2two mine was with DM on the Tuesday and awarded yesterday. I had no text just rang for an update in the evening.
I'm onto UC now give me strength for that not been entitled for months due to earnings so probably don't owe much but every penny helps...apparently decision maker will be in touch by 6pm tomorrow about backdate
Can't believe people are getting decisions in Nov that's quick for DLA 🙂 x

Had a call today from uc and they have awarded the back payment but does anyone know how it's calculated...

They are saying £2413? From March 2023- Feb 2024??

Surely it's £456 + £185 = £642 ÷ 4 = £160 x 19 weeks which makes £3044?

@Amycroft can I asked why the £642 is devided by 4? X

MASSIVE UPDATE: I have just spoke with management within DLA. They are currently working on dates 12th Oct - 8th Nov. Cases scanned between these dates are with DM’s. 8th Nov - 4th December will be sent to DM within the next 4/5 weeks for decisions to be made. Their current working timeframe is 16 weeks for a decision to be made.

@RainsbowandBunnies oh lovely, what was your scan date if you dont mind me asking. They will become arsey if i ring everyday wont they as im only 3rd November scan date. Ive got a feeling ours will get a decline as its a rare condition we will see 🤞

Our battle is finally over, just had confirmation from uc to say the carers element and disabled child premium is all going to be backdated between tomorrow and Monday. Just under 15 weeks for the dla and 2 weeks for the universal credit. Now I'm just waiting for carers allowance to get back to me. I want to say a massive thankyou to every1 here, you have been a great source of comfort during some very stressful times and I wish you and your families all the best going forward. They were arsey with me but it's the only way to know when your awarded in real time (unless your lucky enough to get a text) if I was waiting on a text I'd be none the wiser right now
I totally get how you feel but your entitled to call, they probs don't know the last times you've called unless the previous person left a note? Lol x

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 i rang again this morning spoke to a lady she said there are still waiting for school to get back that’s the hold you. Said it’s now with the CM. I’m so confused. I was told Monday and end of jan it was with DM. She said hopefully I should get a letter next week now im even more worried thinking it’s a decline xx

@Mrssnee16 congrats pleased for you hope mine is as quick as yours. And if they owe anything they also owe 2 cost of living payments. Has anyone had these given when dla backdate? X

@RainsbowandBunnies right yeah that makes more sense but still doesn't add up to the backpay they are saying! Tbh I might juat leave it I just want all the waiting to be over!

Been on hold and just got through. Still with a DM and don’t know how long. No notes on the system that the DM has asked anyone for extra evidence. I.e school so no idea what’s happening with it.

She said it’s with a named person now so shouldn’t be too long once they see it’s with a named person. Haven’t heard that one before but hoping it’s good news.🤞🏻

@Amycroft could it be due to any deductions? For example they owe me about £3000 but I'm not going to get that because of deductions for earnings x

I really don't know, I think am I tempting fate by ringing but I'm expecting a decline anyway so shall I just put myself out my misery?

@RainsbowandBunnies no I don't have any deductions I have a 1 year old too so dont work yet just don't get the March 2023 on the letter
