Hey.

No they haven’t even scanned it on yet. What is your scan date?

I don’t know if they are going to back date it to the date I called I need to find out.

I was awarded 17 Jan, scan date was early September. we’ve had the back pay and another regular payment since but still no birth certificate. I’m so worried it’s been lost! I need to call but just don’t have an hour to be sitting around on hold to them between work and the kids. It’s so annoying.

tiredmum1989 · 15/02/2024 13:46

I reported late change of circumstance to UC on 18/1 (disabled child element and carer element) and got the carer backpay approved within a day but no actual money, and still waiting on the disabled child element to be approved by decision maker 4 weeks later! Keep getting told there’s no time frame.
Messaged today and the backpay for carer element is being paid to me on Monday! Still waiting for disabled child element but at least I’ve got half of what I’m owed.
hopefully this might help some of you others still struggling to get it sorted with universal credit.

I received a text on 29/1 (scan date was 20/10)

I've seen that some people get a text when an award has been made - but this seems inconsistant

I hate waiting - surely must be soon eh!

New here but been watching for weeks lol!same dates as me! I’ve also not heard anything at all or had any texts since 29/1, have seen that a lot of people have just been ringing up and being told they’ve been awarded or waking up to money so I don’t have much hope of getting a text off them🙄

@Becklouise00 maybe we have the same DM too...
wonder who will get first past the post first eh?

Mrslane2019 · 15/02/2024 14:02

@mummyof3girlsx 🤞🏻we not waiting to long I had text Monday the same as you to

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 15/02/2024 14:07

@Jessyjay11 well I thought when I said it, I bet no one replies to say if they’ve been awarded after the DM had contacted the school! 😂

I know it’s easier to said than done, but try not to worry too much. Hope you hear good news soon. Let me know xx

Mamadesgarcons · 15/02/2024 14:24

Scan date, 04/12. For COC, I received two letters, one saying it's taking 11 weeks then next one saying 15 weeks. I called the lady said 28 weeks :( . How long is it actually taking?

I’ve just rang up about about sending extra evidence as getting close to the 18 week mark, he said send it any time it doesn’t affect any payment or timescale. He even said they will look at it upto 8 weeks after the decision has been made. He told me to send it to

Thanks @Lou1830 that's very reassuring

Tangerin · 15/02/2024 15:08

Ahh. The wait....
Scan date 13/11.
One letter

Sent extra evidence this week but I see from others that this can take weeks to be scanned. I don't know if I care enough about this extra evidence getting there before they make the decision because I am sooooo tired of waiting and I have so long to go.

Also waiting on CA. It has been 4 weeks and I just posted some forms back to them where they asked about self employment and employment.

I was never good at waiting, this brings back memories of the TTC threads 😂

Emma2345 · 15/02/2024 15:13

@Lou1830 Thankyou for replying I didn’t think it would affect it as last year I had a diddenrt claim for my other son and I sent loads of information at different times but with all the comments about sending extra information I just got abit worried this time aha it’s very reassuring to no it won’t affect anything, x

Which week did you roughly all get your second letter?

panceke · 15/02/2024 15:18

Scan Date: 16/10 for a dla COC (change of circumstance)
Called in on Monday and was informed that it's been with a DM since the 9/02.
No updates/texts since then

Anyone with a similar scan date/circumstances still waiting to get awarded? 😅

yesminister · 15/02/2024 15:40

just been told my son has been refused again on appeal. i don't understand. we are in and out of hospital, his daily care needs are huge and putting me under great stress to ensure he has everything attended to on a daily basis. it is significantly above and beyond a child of his age. he's missing school due to his condition and i have to be on regular stand by to get him when he is unwell. his older sibling has SEN and has been awarded so i am familiar with how to complete the forms.
i am going to take it to tribunal. has anyone any experience or can signpost to help with this?
