Just an FYI for people with similar scan date 24/10 (New Claim).
Currently no decision but was told should have an answer before the end of this month.

Parking again too scan date 26th Oct, 2 letters and one text on 5th Feb I think it was - I havent called as I dont want to hold up anything haha I am going to be patient until after 18th weeks has passed then give them a call I think if I haven't heard anything. Good luck everyone I hope alot of people get the news they are waiting for today.

@Hayz0711 ours is 17/10 but don't want to ring. Can't be far off a decision now ☺️

@KellieD90 I only rang to make sure all the evidence I’ve sent recently has been scanned on. I was told last Thursday that they’d only received one lot but it was with a DM, so wanted to check it had all been scanned before a decision was made. So it’s been with DM for a week now. Already preparing for a MR🤦‍♀️ Good luck x

So they do acknowledge receipt? I sent mine a couple of weeks ago. Weirdly the post office said you couldn't send recorded to that address which I was somewhat skeptical of...

Rang at 9 and got straight through. Was advised there are a few holding piles where applications go through and once the claim hits 18weeks it’s passed to a DM. Not sure how accurate this is but was told I should have an answer in April!

Just called for anyone doing an MR it's taking 7 weeks they said

What is your scan date?

I'm on week 8 of a MR, I received a letter last week to tell me upto 11 weeks. There's no consistency with what they tell people and seems to be no communication between the people who send the letters and those who answer the calls.

Have you had the birth certificate back yet? I sent my son’s a few weeks ago now and I’ve been awarded but still no birth certificate returned 😫

My post office said the same because there’s no postcode! The second one I sent, I found a different version of the address with a postcode, found it on one of these threads

Just phoned. Scan day 26/10. Was told claim is at the top of holding pile to go to decision maker so should hear very soon.

@mkaislam 27/11 is my scan date. I called to see if all info had been scanned on which it has so just the waiting game now

Awarded! Scan date 15/11/2023, had the usual two texts and a letter, discovered a high-rate DLA back payment in my account this morning. This is going to make a huge difference for my little boy.

I really appreciate everyone keeping my spirits up. I honestly would've lost all hope without you. Good luck to everyone else playing the worst waiting game ever!

@mummyof3girlsx same 🤣🤣🙈 i hope its not much longer this wait is awful, seen a couple November dates awarded so fingers crossed it will be soon , they still havent scanned my extra evidence on its been 3 weeks simce they signed for it 🙈🙈x

Scan date 9/11, 2 letters no texts so 14 weeks today.
I was awarded MRC and LRM for my son last year and applied for my daughter in November, she is on the waiting list to be assessed for dyslexia, ADHD and has been referred to school nurses and occupational therapy at the end of Jan, so will probably have an outcome before the evidence for them.

Just so anyone wondering knows, when I did my sons application last year, I sent his ASD diagnosis paperwork as further evidence part way through and it didn't restart the "clock" and the still back paid to the date I called. I think I lost 2 days because they award from a certain day of the week. Hopefully that puts some people at ease.
