When you do an mr do you have to call them and tell them your doing one or can you just send the letter

@LancsMcG when you did your mr did you call them first so they was expecting the letter or just sent it

I phoned first and then also sent in paper form with some additional evidence

@LancsMcG and can I please ask did you press the number on options to do the reconsideration or go through to other enquires. ? X

Anyone still on tax credits that can tell me what the difference is between child that used to get middle rate care that now gets high rate? Also will the difference be backdated? Thanks

Scan date only 06/02 but letter says 15 weeks wait, just wondering if some of you with Oct/Nov were told 15 weeks also at the time or have they reduced the estimated time

Still waiting from the 13/9 just on hold to them now, is anyone else still waiting from September? Seems like the number options to get to the correct department have changed from when I’ve previously rang them is that the same for others?

I'm a scan date 1/11 and my letter said 15 weeks. Still no decision yet and now 16 weeks. 🤷‍♀️

I'm 15 weeks today. Further down the thread someone said they were told that they've employed more people and it's looking at cases goes to DM at 16 weeks then will be with them for around 2 weeks before a decision is given.

@Marie156 i rang today and was told 16 weeks but then other people have rang and been told it’s still 20 weeks I think they’re just telling everyone different information all the time x

Omg the frustration, was just in queue on phone for 1hr 17mins, they answered but couldn't hear me. My phone was fine arrrggghhhh

Anyone notice when you call the dla the options have now changed and the 20 week wait message is no longer there??

finally with a dm.. wondering how long the wait is gonna be now as I was told 2-4 weeks which sounds too long. Scan date 26/10/23

Hiya, I rang and they just said to wait for the DM to get back to me whenever that may be, they said they can't hurry it along and just a case of waiting and will update my journal as soon as they get news. How about you? Xx

@JMommy2023 yes I noticed yesterday earlier when I rang I mentioned it in 1 of the threads when I rang up I was told 16 weeks and then other people rang up today also who are at 17 weeks onwards and they mentioned people being told 16 weeks and the fact the 20 weeks phone message is no longer their and the call handler actually laughed at them and said it’s definitely 20 weeks and basically called them a liar x

Scan dates 18/01 and 29/01 both forms sent off within a few days. Rang today and told they are in the system and to call back if no decision by June. Why such a long wait the letters say 8 wks.

@Squadmum41 they are currently taking 20 weeks so 5 months to look at claims I think theirs just so many and a big back log which it’s why it’s taking so long x

Fingers crossed for summer then 🤣 trying not to stress about it, but just keep seeing all the the extra things I could I get to help my boys deal with daily life challenges.

@Squadmum41 im the same hun it’s all so stressful and worrying especially the wait to potentially get declined I should hopefully hear end of march beginning of April I could do so much for my boy with the money I’m hoping for HRC as he doesn’t sleep when he does he is awake after only an hour to 2 hours sleep then Is awake all night he is pretty much non verbal and what he does say isn’t in context and has no meaning just copied off tv we’re awaiting ASD diagnoses needs constant care and supervision excetra I’m so glad school have backed up sleeping habits and the physical violence also as he is violent in school to staff and children and even when tired he will not sleep just scream and Attack them x
