I phoned up today and they said it's in the queue to go to a decision maker , how long does it normally take to go to the decision maker please?

Katrina0190 · 27/02/2024 01:01

Scan date 30th October, on 17weeks this week, I phone at 14weeks as I'd heard nothing, not even the acknowledgement letter, they had the claim and I got told it was taking 16weeks but still not heard anything. Anyone close to this date with a decision yet?

Vonnie7474 · 28/02/2024 10:50

I got told this last month too

Kerrygrile · 28/02/2024 11:40

I did a claim for my son last year and all in all it took 24weeks too finalise everyhing . The letters in the post are two weeks behind of the actual discussions too it's so so annoying .

Nevesmummy21 · 28/02/2024 13:20

Recieved date 6/12 then got a letter saying received 2 weeks later. Had another asking for her birth certificate which I sent off then that got sent back 6weeks later with another letter saying sorry but a decision still hasn't been made and nothing since. I am worrying as only evidence I really sent in was a statememt from her health visitor listing out her needs and disability for me. Still not heard back been 13weeks this week

Vonnie7474 · 28/02/2024 14:56

I’ve truly never heard of claims taking so long

Very frustrating I’ve never done a claim like this before so all new to me but never thought it would take this long! Not sure if the waiting time is a good or bad thing are you told sooner if rejected

Hiya , we have had some payment although awaiting a decision letter . Scan date was 26th oct

Nevesmummy21 · 01/03/2024 10:43

I remember when I 1st done a claim for my son it took 8weeks for a decision, so shocking about the waiting times now!! Is this due to covid and everything being backdated? Still waiting for my daughters decision which was scanned 6/12

Vonnie7474 · 03/03/2024 08:25

Is no news good news if we were rejected would we have heard by now? Whe. I called a few weeks back all they said was it’s with the decision maker

What is your scan date? When did they tell you it was with DM?
id ring 9am Monday incase they are needing extra information before making the decision. Or if it’s been declined you can put in a MR xx

Vonnie7474 · 03/03/2024 12:21

Hi 10th nov and yes with DM

How do you know it’s with the Dm did you ring I’ve not heard anything and scan date 7th nov

Vonnie7474 · 03/03/2024 13:18

Hi yes took 45 mins wouldn’t say any other details just that with DM but no timescale

Jess19944 · 03/03/2024 15:35

Think it all depends on the details of your claim and the evidence you have sent. It’s all such a long process.

Laurenvik · 03/03/2024 20:09

Could someone please give me some advise.
My scan date was October 4th
I'm on week 22
It's been with the decision maker 5 weeks.
They say they have been trying to call school.

School have had no messages
I just don't no what to do.
I sent so much evidence in Could someone advise me on what to do. I just feel so worried and stressed.
Thankyou

This is exactly what I'm worried about my son has asd and adhd. He has an auditory processing disorder and anxiety. Iv sent absolutely everything in. I have had to give my job up because I kept having to ring in when I couldn't get him to school. Be kate for work or literally be called out of work. I was told it was about the level of Care. My son literally needs me all the time I'm his comfort and its so frustrating I just don't no what to do. 22 weeks is so excessive.
My form got sent off on the 9th September 2023. So 6 months this week.

could you not ring again and say the school have had no messages and could you confirm the number they have tried to call incase you’ve accidentally made an error. Because let’s me realistic those forms stressed us all out and we’re only human so if a error got made it’s only normal. xx

Vonnie7474 · 04/03/2024 13:10
