DLA wait times

Dla received my application for my son on the 30th of jan. Had a text saying still looking at my claim last Monday. How much longer for a decision? 🙂

On other threads people have said the waiting times for new claims are going up to 16 weeks wait and renewals are being done either the week of or the day it’s due to run out

My scan date is 19/1. Called last week They say it's taking upto 16 weeks at the minute.

Dla received my sons application on 18th Jan phoned last week said 13-15weeks. Received a text again this morning stating still looking at claim 🙄

I called again to be told we have not been awarded. I have applied for MR. so disappointed 😢

Oh no :( I’m so sorry! If you don’t mind me asking what was the claim for? I’m on hold now - first time I’ve tried to call so I’m guessing I will be on hold a while.

No of course not. My little boy is waiting to have a tube fit as he can't swallow. Not a disability Apparently. I have requested a mandatory reconsideration. I was so sure he would get it.

Gosh that’s so long isn’t it! when we done my little girls in 2021 it was done in 7 weeks!

I’m expecting our renewal pack any day to be honest! It runs out in November so should I be expecting it soon?

its usually around 20 weeks before the end date

Hey sorry to jump on , if you don't mind me asking when is your renewal due to run out I'm currently waiting for my renewal decision for my little girl and ours run out 16th may . Mine was sent off in January xx

I’m hoping to hear any day about my sons claim, scan date was 2nd Feb and current award ended yesterday. I sent in supporting evidence but was just wondering if anyone knows do they contact the health professionals you list on the application form? My sons consultant is on maternity leave and I was wondering if that would cause a delay

I heard back the day before my renewal , as they are doing them either before or near to their dates x

Im not sure if they do . I don't think they have contacted mine but im not sure tbh as no one has mentioned it to me . I know claims are taking longer as I think there is a back log have you contacted to see if any update on the claim xx

Yes I called last week and it was still waiting to be looked at. She said that they are leaving it until the date of renewal at the moment so that may be why I haven’t heard anything! Xx
