Carrying on the waiting right here!

Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

I got awarded middle rate and no mobility
Does this seem right?

Crazybrood · 03/08/2022 15:55

@FightingForMyBoy Mine is 12 weeks Thursday. Everyone I’ve spoke to has gone from the 12th May when my forms got back, baffled to why she’s saying different.

Yeah, so they will only award HRM for a 3 year old if they think she doesn't qualify for HRM she won't get anything till she 5 but if you believe she is entitled to HRM then that's when you do the MR but it's also good to know that the can also change the decision you have already got to more or lower

@Uz91 Sorry forgot to tag you earlier

Crazybrood · 03/08/2022 17:00

Just got the text. Don’t know how to feel

MrsFortSQ · 03/08/2022 17:38

@Crazybrood
Did you get awarded?

GrapePearPea · 03/08/2022 17:53

FightingForMyBoy · 03/08/2022 13:18

@Crazybrood I’m the 12th of May as well and when I phoned Monday for an update as it’s been 12 weeks she worked it out to be 11 weeks and 4 days and would be 12 weeks on Thursday, it’s ridiculous waiting times and especially annoying when children are being awarded for June, I’m obviously pleased that children are being awarded quickly but it’s not fair on the children that are being left to wait!

I don’t see anywhere that people are being awarded for June ??

Crazybrood · 03/08/2022 18:27

@MrsFortSQ yes but don’t know what. Never had a signal in the baths so only got the text as they closed

Skittles1410 · 03/08/2022 18:33

@GrapePearPea on the Facebook group I’ve seen loads today been awarded from the 1st of June! Some are commenting that they’re still waiting from April

Divadee1980 · 03/08/2022 19:49

Them
children my be terminally I’ll that is why they get seen to quicker it gets back dated the wait is horrible but your child. Will get what they deserve just taken longer

FightingForMyBoy · 03/08/2022 23:46

Scan date 12th May phoned up Monday and went to a decision maker that morning, only just checked my bank and a payment from DLA went in Tuesday for just under £1000 so not sure what rates but I’m really pleased, good luck to everyone else

Mummyofangel · 04/08/2022 09:15

Leanne707 · 04/08/2022 12:36

Hi all

Has anyone had a scan date for 19th may? Does anyone have any idea of what date DLA are currently working on?
Thanks

Lianney84 · 04/08/2022 13:21

Hi all you lovely ladies.... I've been reading this thread now ive decided to place a comment with any help appreciated. My son get middle rate care and lower mobility.
His needs have changed endlessly he now has his echp and started a special needs school early end off June this year he get transport aswell with a PA.
I sent off Coc and it was scanned 27th June I know I've got a long wait ahead off us but just wondering if anyone knows how long coc takes
He has no diagnosis yet but being assessed for ASD ADHD and PDA

Charlenecmp · 04/08/2022 15:10

Hi dose the weeks by the date they scanned the forms or the date they sent letter to say they have them as my LG was scanned 30th May but the didn't send forms untill 13th June two weeks diff near enough

Charlenecmp · 04/08/2022 15:13

Sorry I mean they didn't send letter to say recived forms untill 13th

Nickymumofmany · 04/08/2022 16:15

From what I can gather it's from the scan date. I'm hoping so as I didn't receive any letters from them until the "sorry we've not looked at this claim yet".

2under2and1more · 04/08/2022 17:50

we Have just received a letter to say we will not be getting DLA. Even though my daughter is on the pathway for Autism, has Hypermobility and also now suspected ADHD. I put in the form how much extra care she needs. How difficult she is because of her emotions, sore limbs, falling over etc.
How do I do a mandatory reconsideration? I’m devastated.

2under2and1more · 04/08/2022 17:51

Also my scan date was 12th of July, so it’s been really quick m.

Lianney84 · 05/08/2022 00:48

Carers allowence sort it out in 3 weeks that's with payment in your bank backdated to the day you was rewarded dla. Hope this helps

Nickymumofmany · 05/08/2022 07:47

@2under2and1more From what i have read you need to request a statement of reasons to why they have declined the application and then provide the reasons why you disagree to each statement referencing to evidence provided, etc. You can request a MR over the phone.

MrsFortSQ · 05/08/2022 09:50

I phoned them yesterday and still no decision made from 11 May, oour existing claim runs out at the end of the month. They told me the decision would be made nearer the time, it wasn't with a DM yet.
Very frustrating!

Nickymumofmany · 05/08/2022 11:45

I rang this morning, on the phone for 6 minutes in total, shortest time ever for me. My sons claim was scanned on 12th May and is on the decision makers desk. They are working all weekend so should have a decision by Monday.

MrsFortSQ · 05/08/2022 12:02

@Nickymumofmany
Hi,was yours a renewal or a new claim?

Nickymumofmany · 05/08/2022 12:35

@MrsFortSQ It's a new claim.
