Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

@Charlenecmp i know what you mean, I'm on week 11 and knowing they are working on the 9th this week and I've heard the 10th(me) is in next weeks pile, it's taking forever to get to next week.

I was really hoping we'd hear by now then we could do something big over summer

Hi everyone, Has anyone had experience with updating UC, I have done the change under my child and added a note to the journal for backpay. Someone replied and said it was going to a decision maker which is great but no one has acknowledged adding the disability element going forward. Is this dealt with by the decision maker also or should it just be on my next statement. Called them to check and got the most confused woman who didn't understand my querie so I hope I am making sense! xx

I’m actually feeling that I might need to put in for a MR as my daughters case is quite complex, this was even stated on a medical report that I sent in ..
If she was to get accepted, is there any carers benefits/support that are not means tested that I could apply for?
Im unable to commit to contracted hours with any job & have to work bank due to my daughters needs/appointments, I can’t receive any benefits due to my husbands wage & we have so much to pay out with extra items required by my daughter..

@KJB88 I just did the change of circumstances for the disabled child/carer's element and put a note in the journal about backpay. It's been sorted very quickly for me....DD awarded last Friday, back pay sent today.

I’m May 7th scan date, just gave them a call they said decision was made yesterday for my daughter who has JIA they have awarded her MRC he didn’t mention anything about mobility which I really thought she would have got as she has pretty much lost the ability to walk due to the severe stiffness etc, do I need to wait for the letter to arrive before I ask for reconsideration? Tia x

For the disabled element i didnt ask for backpay as i didnt know you could but had a message on there to say they owe me £132 which would be the backpay to when she was awarded x

@Mumof2gurls Yes, I've got a pending payment of £603 due to go in Friday for the backpay of disabled element and carers element for May-Jun and Jun-July assessment period. There was no fuss from them, they sorted it straight away xx

@Spacemonkey2016 stop it did they really! I have done it on mine but not heard anything yet they are ringing me tomorrow though for a phone call app so will ask them xx

@Mumof2gurls I've seen a real mix of time scales on FB, some people very short wait, some still waiting after 3 months. I'm not sure if it's because I don't have a work coach as partner works full time and I work part time, so I think every message I send goes straight to a case manager. I have no idea if that's right, but I read that somewhere. They definitely have to back pay it though, so you will get it. Xx

UPDATE! Mandatory Reconsideration was scanned on June 16th, phoned this morning and my Son has finally got his HRM! I knew all this fighting would finally pay off! Best advice I can give to you all still waiting to hear, NEVER GIVE UP! When I first claimed for my Son he was awarded nothing, it may of took time but I never stopped fighting for what I knew my Son was entitled to. He now gets HRC & HRM. He is 6 so 3 years of MR’s and Tribunal appeals but it’s finally paid off! Congratulations to those who have got your awards & Good Luck to those still waiting. OMG I am over the moon! Crying tears of joy!!!

Anybody heard with a scan date of round the 12th of May yet?

@FightingForMyBoy im same date and rang yesterday, was told it should be going to a dm Monday morning and if not heard by end of next week then ring back and they will tell me a decision. Knowing my luck I won’t get a text like loads get and will either be declined or have a dm who works from home lol

@Crazybrood i think I might phone Monday, I haven’t phoned yet but it’s coming up 11 wks now, i’l let you know what they say

@FightingForMyBoy i'm the 10th and i have heard off the FB group that they will be working on those dates and later this coming week, a lot have been awarded from the 7-9th and the odd few from the 11th so it's so close

Anyone know how long it took for letter to come with award on it? They awarded after MR and just awaiting back pay and letter. I need letter to order Son’s blue badge.

@Mum2Two91 my back pay came on the Wednesday they awarded me on the Sunday and the letter came just over a week after the decision was made mine was also a MR

Anyone ever claimed carers allowance? X
