Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

I don’t receive any benefits, so I’ve not looked into this..

@Mumof2gurls carers allowance if you apply for it gets taken off UC £ for £ each month but you get paid the same overall from carers allowance (CA is paid weekly)

It's classed as income as you earn NI contributions on it

@Rara2022 im the 10th too. I've seen a lot of May 7-9th getting awarded this week. So hopefully we're not too far from finding.

Not everyone gets a text, but back pay will arrive in your bank before you get any letters so that's a good indication and you can roughly work out what you've got awarded

Can't b bothered 2 call them again I'll wait 4 letter an anything else when I get that letter xx

So i just did the carers epement thing i assume this is only to be claimed for 1 child not 2 🤔

@kinzzzz Yes, only one carer's element per carer. But if a joint UC claim, you can get two lots: I get the carer's element for my son and now my daughter been awarded, my partner will claim it for her. Just heard it can take months for them to add disabled child/carer's element to UC and sort out back pay. Always with the waiting.

@Bournecrazy @Kateplus8 Doing the tax credits online I found was pointless because they don’t actually change, I rang up and said I did it online & they said online changes aren’t ever checked so it’s best to always ring. My online payments were changed within 24 hours and got back payment in 3 working days.

@Hammers91 did tax credits back pay to the date back to date you got forms or a month?seen people on fb group say they only got back a month

Posted mine 4th of July. Received a letter yesterday to say they received it on the 12th!! Seems a long gap!
the letter says to get in touch if I haven’t heard in 8 weeks.

What has everyone waited from getting the ‘we have received your claim letter’?

Yeah mine took 6/7 weeks after that letter x

Same as me then! I got a payment in my bank 2 day! The back pay

Feeling really disheartened today, seeing lots of people hearing back from the 7th May, we are the 6th and still nothing.
I sent current IEP, Diagnostic report, ED Psych report and a supporting statement from school.
Do you receive a text if declined or just wait for the letter?

@Crazybrood got back paid from the date of the award which was the day ( could actually be the day after ) I rang for the forms which was March 7th, I was awarded DLA 26th June

they will either back pay the whole lot in one lump sum or pay you a % of it & spread the rest out over your weekly payments.

Gave in and called today😂the lady i spoke said my claim was in the final stages...does this mean it is with a decision maker? How long is this stage ?😥have an awful feeling, we will be rejected ..

Ah thank you..promised myself I wouldn't panic, but as time is getting on I am! X just need to be patient I guess ..
