Carrying on the waiting right here!

Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

Yes if you phoned for the forms then they go by that date as that’s when you made official contact with DLA, from my own experience anyway. Good Luck hun. I’m currently awaiting Autism & ADHD diagnosis for my 6yo Son and he is on Higher Rate Care and Low Rate Mobility. We have done a Change of Circumstances to get Higher mobility as son’s Paeds says he is likely to get it with how severe, got knocked back but now awaiting an Mandatory Reconsideration. Keep fighting if not successful first time honestly your Son is more than entitled hun.

Hey I rang up today got told they are currently working on 22nd of April up until the 4th of may! Mine was scanned on the 5th of may. I have a 4 year old been referred twice by doctors for adhd and both times been sent back because of her age so have applied with no supported letters etc has anyone else done this thankyou. X

Mumof2gurls · 20/07/2022 20:55

They also told me I should know by next week, with the dates they are working on, who knows though 😅😂

KJB88 · 21/07/2022 09:10

Just called again and was so suprised to get through in 4 minutes! Definitely the right time of day to call, I was scanned on the 4th May and haven't been allocated yet even though she said that they are working on the 4th May. She said I was noted as going to be allocated to a DM which surely every application is! Got the standard should hear in 7-10days so I am jus hopeful that by calling they will send my application to a DM now. Patience is not my stronget quality as you can likely tell lol

kinzzzz · 21/07/2022 10:41

Nor mine 😬

Mumof2gurls · 21/07/2022 11:38

Crazy how long the process actually takes I am on week 11

Poppysmum14 · 21/07/2022 15:09

Hello
phoned for an update and lady told me my daughter has been awarded mrc lrm scan date 3rd May. Should I wait for the letter to let UnIversal credit know or can I let them know now? X

Bournecrazy · 21/07/2022 16:51

@Poppysmum14 thats great news, I would wait for the letter to make sure them tell UC you've only just found out with the letter and get the disability and carer element put on your claim

Mumof2gurls · 21/07/2022 16:51

I would ring them to let them know. So happy for you! Great news did they mention when your first payment will be? Also does your child have a formal diagnosis? I’m worried as mine doesn’t yet because of her age. Scan date 5th of may…. Nerves are driving me mental

@Sodie I am so happy for you!! Glad you kept fighting for what your daughter rightfully deserved, I come on here every now and then purely to see if you posted any update with your MR. Over the moon for you, wishing your daughter all the best as she battles this awful condition! xx

Poppysmum14 · 21/07/2022 20:08

She’s been diagnosed with Autism but they don’t go off diagnosis so don’t worry. I was told Tuesday and then every 4 weeks after so next payment is 23rd August she said. X

Sodie · 21/07/2022 21:30

@Td109 thank you so much, I was hoping someone would remember me from the previous thread! We have put a complaint in against the person they spoke to initially and our fabulous ot supported us all the way.

Mumof2gurls · 21/07/2022 21:50

Oh thankyou makes me feel a little better x

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 11:20

I know it's frowned upon, but I feel like calling up everyday for updates now. It's crazy it's taking this long. I'm in into my 12th week of waiting. In fact, I am going to call again and hope they don't shout at me, haha. I'll let you all know what they say with regards to dates/timeframes etc...

KJB88 · 22/07/2022 11:25

Lol! @Spacemonkey2016 I am on hold again today! I am so worried that they may need to speak to the school or something and they are going to be closed and then it will be even more delayed!

Roseypossey · 22/07/2022 11:28

Hi I’ve just received my daughters reward letter for mrc, on the letter it states she only has needs in the day and have completely overlooked the facts she wakes up from 5am and I have to get up every 15 minutes to put her back to bed until 7. Is this because she’s 3?

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 11:37

@KJB88 Ah, that would worry me too. Definitely ring them. I'm on hold too. I just want some kind of progression or hope, like it being with a decision maker now or something.

@Roseypossey My son is 5 and their ignored the fact he has nightly care needs, and is up several times a night requiring medication, so I don't think it's age related. As sad as it is, he was awarded MRC for 6 and a half years, and I was too scared to lose that, so didn't question it.

Roseypossey · 22/07/2022 11:44

This makes me so sad, I feel the same I don’t want to lose what they’ve awarded either tbh, my daughters been awarded two years I don’t know if it’s worth doing a mr 🥹

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 11:58

I managed to get through, and he said that it's with a decision maker now (wasn't when I called earlier on in the week). I know it sounds awful, but I feel like I don't believe him, and he just wanted to make out he had progressed a little. I guess we'll see in a day or two. 😱

KJB88 · 22/07/2022 12:03

@Spacemonkey2016 Fingers crossed for you! Let us know if you hear anything xx

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 12:06

@KJB88 Thank you! Did you manage to get through at all? xx

KJB88 · 22/07/2022 12:11

Just got through to a very unhelpful woman who told me that all new claims are taking 10 weeks, i pointed out that we are on 11 nearly 12 weeks and she just said that it would be looked at when it is looked at. So I am still not with a decision maker and I guess the school holidays are going to hold this up too! 😕

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 12:23

@KJB88 Ugh, so rude. I was going to say before that I've always found the women I've spoken to to be more helpful than the men, but clearly that's not always the case! Hopefully they'll realise it's school holidays and make a decision without that. They definitely didn't contact anyone about my son at all.

Spacemonkey2016 · 22/07/2022 16:33

I just the text! Won't be able to find out until Monday which rate, how annoying! At least it's a bit of a less anxious wait now.
