Carrying on the waiting right here!

Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

If anyone is waiting on a MR, mine was "scanned" on the 17th of june, called last week and they told me it was actually scanned on the 23rd, they said to call today as there may be an update. So I called at 9am to be told they can take 6 weeks and mine hasn't been looked at yet..... 4 weeks this week 😫

KC2005 · 18/07/2022 09:37

😩 scan date 27th April. Just rang for update. They’ve requested more info from school only on the 15.07, and it closes on the 20.07. 😞😞
Really annoyed they’ve left it till the last week of school to request more info. I had already probably sent 30 pages worth of documents too.

kinzzzz · 18/07/2022 09:54

5 weeks here have gave up calling for update 😆

Bournecrazy · 18/07/2022 10:13

@KC2005 thats awful. I'm stuffed if they call school or send a letter as we finished for summer on the 8th July. And I know the postie holds all the post until the day they are due back too so it could be ages if they need to get hold of my kids school

Bournecrazy · 18/07/2022 10:14

@Amberb83 if you ring them and explain you've only just found out they should back date it to your scan date

KC2005 · 18/07/2022 10:30

@Bournecrazy its the 12th week, it’s ridiculous to think they are just asking for extra info at that point without the fact school are breaking up.
Hopefully it’s not the same for you. I’m trying to get hold of the head of year now to chase this up .

Legofigure · 18/07/2022 10:53

@Amberb83 If you inform tax credits within a month of being notified of the outcome of the award it is backdated to the start of the award, if you called for the form and returned it within the time frame that is the day you called for the form.

Hammers91 · 18/07/2022 11:04

@Amberb83 yes, gets backdated to the date you rang for the form.. I rang tax credits just over 2 weeks ago, my payments were changed online within 24 hours. Got the backdated payment in 1 lump sum too 3 working days later.

KJB88 · 18/07/2022 14:32

Couldn't bloody help myself and called again 🙄Apparently they are on the 29th April now, although as we know they say different dates to people all the time. Fingers crossed we all hear soon! She got my hopes up this time as she asked more security questions than normal so I was wondering if she had information to tell me lol 😆

Bournecrazy · 18/07/2022 15:40

I've seen people with may 9th have got pending payments so I'm hoping they've picked up some speed over the weekend

Amberb83 · 18/07/2022 16:14

Thank you everyone re the tax credits info xx

Eelcamomma · 18/07/2022 16:32

Yours must be with the same decision maker as mine lol. Also the 22nd April, rang again today still with the decision maker and no decision as of yet -_-

Kc1999x · 18/07/2022 17:45

quick Question if anyone knows the answer. So my son got awarded MRC, I believe he should be getting HRC however the only proof I’ve got atm for his night time needs is a small note on doctors records so waiting for paed appointment, he’s 2 and will be 3 in January, my main question is when they send out the mobility forms around his 3rd birthday do they look at care needs again or would I have to do a COC?

Spacemonkey2016 · 18/07/2022 21:16

I feel like I'm going insane waiting now. Because my daughter is only 2 I'm more worried about her being declined. 11 weeks and counting....

Sodie · 18/07/2022 22:25

Don't know if anyone remembers me. But I was turned down for dla for my daughter. As advised on here I went for the mandatory reconsideration and our fabulous ot wrote an amazing letter detailing how unwell mentally and physically our daughter is. Anyway I haven't received a letter yet but a very large payment has just hit my bank. I've stayed away from the thread because I didn't want to put a downer on anyone (this process is awful enough on top of having a child who needs extra care). But I said I would return if I get good news. Also to give hope to anyone who gets turned down to pursue it.

kinzzzz · 18/07/2022 23:10

How long did u wait for MR please

Sodie · 19/07/2022 08:45

@kinzzzz I think it's been around five weeks. I only sent my supporting letter off two weeks ago because our ot and consultant were on leave. I did the MR over the phone.

kinzzzz · 19/07/2022 09:09

Im 5 weeks today just called got straight through my daughters is with decision maker now shes said 😬

KJB88 · 19/07/2022 09:11

@Sodie that is fantastic well done for keeping going!

Sodie · 19/07/2022 09:15

@kinzzzz were you completely turned down or received a lower award?

@KJB88 I'm going to phone now and see what we have been awarded, and prepare to appeal for higher because of our daughter needing a wheelchair all the time.

kinzzzz · 19/07/2022 09:16

No she got flat out declined 😔

Sodie · 19/07/2022 09:22

Same here completely refused.

Bournecrazy · 19/07/2022 09:39

@Sodie thats great news, how long is the award for? A big weight off your shoulders I bet

Uz91 · 19/07/2022 10:12

Just rang in as Iv seen people in June new claims being awarded on fb.. I’m May 7th heard nothing.. polite woman on the phone said they are currently working up till the 29th April so should be with case manager in few weeks.

Mumof3b · 19/07/2022 10:44

Hi have been watching the thread lately, sent a new claim off for my 6 year old son scan date 10th June. Paid privately to see a speech and language therapist as school wasn’t doing anything, she said selective mutism, ASD/adhd and physiological trauma as their dad committed suicide 2 years ago. He is still in nappies and if I try to get him to sit on the toilet you would think I was murdering him the noises he makes and how distressed he gets, I have to sleep with him as he wakes up multiple times a night and if I’m not next to him it’s major meltdowns. Have sent the report off from her with the forms, am so worried they are going to turn him down x
