Since I joined the fb group, it's making me more anxious as I'm forever checking it. I need that text or note to say yes or no

I don’t have FB but defo wanna know what kind of outliers are on there who are getting responses a lot quicker… is there many? I saw someone mention someone has heard from a scan date in June!

Someone with a scan date of June 16th or something has just been awarded, was very shocked at how quick for some tbh

I’ve seen quite a few, like a lot of people have said the dwp are working up to the end of April, but a few in may have already got decisions and then some in June now too. But also I’ve seen a lot of people say that they’ve rang up and found out that the decision maker who’s got their form is actually on holiday or not working for a couple of weeks, so I do believe it all depends who’s desk it lands on

I used to handle insurance claims and at times when there was a backlog the teams would be split in 2 with half working on the backlog and half working on newer claims. The idea is you keep the new claims within the intended timescale as well as decreasing the backlog before each time meets in the middle. I imagine they implement a the same type of strategy to reduce the backlog and that’s why we are seeing newer claims with May and June dates awarded along with older claims from April.

We are 7th June. I’m actually hoping it’s not looked at for a while as we will have an outcome to our EHCP within the next few weeks and I want to send it off as additional evidence.

How do you find out the scan date? I sent forms a week ago and was hoping for some confirmation that they have been recieved.

Just seen on the fb group someone who forms got scanned 4th July and they’ve been awarded! Finding it hard not to ring again but this is making me tempted since my date was May lol

@stressbucket1 scan date is the date they received the forms. Did you send recorded delivery?

No the post office said we couldn't send recorded delivery because it was a freepost address. I just want to know they have got it because there is a lot of information in there.

ring them up and they’ll tell you if they’ve received it. I had to do the same, they send a letter about 3 weeks later saying they’ve received it🤦🏽‍♀️

@stressbucket1 try not to worry I didn't send mine signed for either and it arrived within 4 days.

Ring them and just say your worried you haven't had any acknowledgement of it being received so wanted to check it was on the system

@Kc1999x I know I wish it was mine 😂 looking at end of the month still. Only rang to see if i had time to send my daughters ehcp application in and to really ask where I’m up to lol

Sorry I’ve not been on here all week. I’m currently awaiting MR decision on Sons claim on my 4th week as it was scanned 16th June. On phone waiting to ask them now so will update you all

I received a text Tuesday to say my daughter was entitled to DLA, scan date 24th April.
Checked my bank and they have paid just short of £1400 in. I havent recieved any letters yet, does this suggest mid rate care, low rate mobility?

@kinzzzz sorry I’ve not been on here all week, rang Tuesday, they said ring Friday as may have a decision. Phoned today and they have told me end of next week. They do tell you different things! Starting to stress me now, I’m the same as you I want to know if I need to appeal.

I called yesterday to be told im not even with a dm yet and it takes 4 weeks but im over 4 weeks now 😔 he said hes guna put a note its urgent but im starting to give up now i only wanted to know b4 kids broke up incase i could round up more evidence if needed hopefully they call the senco 😣

@kinzzzz try get stuff off the senco now just incase. I asked mine for stuff incase I needed to appeal but they said my daughter should qualify with the amount we’ve sent in. I’ve just got a copy of her ehcp application and sent that in today. I hope I don’t need to appeal because I’ve nothing left to send lol

That would be all i have left to fight with is senco letter .... they have paperwork with some of her views on already but if shes decline ill assume i need a full report. I dont know if shes put my daughters ehcp app in yet 🤨 people 15th n 16th have had decisions from MR and mines not reached DM bit annoying 🥴
