Carrying on the waiting right here!

Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

I’m scan date 26th April and the lady said mine hasn’t even been looked at yet either. I’m sort of okay about it as I’m still collecting evidence I didn’t have to begin with, but she said to me it’ll likely be looked at any day now to me so she’s put notes on the system for me

Mumabear239 · 06/07/2022 09:53

@dawny30xx I rang this morning they are on first week in March for coc . I am 7th April so few weeks yet , but saw other day that coc scan date 24th March was dealt with so not sure if they just tell you want they want half the time .

dawny30xx · 06/07/2022 10:56

@Mumabear239 oh brilliant thanks we are the 1st off March so hopefully it’s being looked at now, that's bizare how people with later dates are getting seen before hand maybe it depends on how much work the decision maker has on, fingers crossed for us both!! X

Crazybrood · 06/07/2022 11:22

Just had the “sorry it’s taking so long letter” 😩

Amberb83 · 06/07/2022 11:32

@KC2005 scan date twin... thank you for this update I have given up calling to wait on hold forever. So deflating to hear still potentially another 3 weeks..

Bournecrazy · 06/07/2022 14:06

Stress is setting in, the fb group i joined people are saying they've got money in the bank from the first week of May's new claims. I'm 10/5 I hope they've got a little faster

doadeer · 06/07/2022 14:58

How long was the wait from the text until you got the money?

kinzzzz · 06/07/2022 16:00

For our oldest 1 she got awarded on the fryday it was in on the tuesday

Crazybrood · 06/07/2022 16:04

@Bournecrazy I’m seeing the same in the group I’m in. I’m the 12/5 and I’m seeing some from the week before me then others saying they’re still waiting on the end of April 😩

Bournecrazy · 06/07/2022 16:18

@Crazybrood were probably in the same group 😂

Poppysmum14 · 06/07/2022 17:17

GrapePearPea · 06/07/2022 18:57

What’s the latest anyone has seen on FB? I’m 1st July and already impatient 🤣

I have sent in renewal forms for an award ending beginning of September. I'm just worried it won't be done in time based on the waits I'm seeing on here. However, does anyone know if renewals are processed in a different pile to new applications/change of circumstance to ensure they're done by the renewal date to avoid payments stopping for someone in need, or is it simply a case of 'tough luck' and 'it'll be looked at when it's looked at'? The latter seems most likely to me, but I'm optimistic that it won't be!

Bournecrazy · 06/07/2022 20:01

@diamond3 tgey go in a different pile from what I've been reading, it won't be looked at until nearer your renew date

Uz91 · 06/07/2022 21:33

@Bournecrazy im May 7th new claim haven’t received anything atm, apart from sorry we are taking our time etc

diamond3 · 06/07/2022 21:38

Yes, @Bournecrazy I've read a couple of conflicting thoughts on renewals and how they're processed. It would definitely be useful to hear from anyone who has recently gone through a renewal too - did they get their decision before the original award end date, or did they not get it until afterwards and had to go a period of time without payments?

KC2005 · 06/07/2022 22:38

Welcome twin and hopefully sooner 🥵😊😊

kinzzzz · 07/07/2022 00:13

Is it just weekends they call sorry weird question i know but only seen people say from sats to mons 🙆‍♀️

Amberb83 · 07/07/2022 06:42

@KC2005 FYI.......So I bit the bullet as I was travelling home last night and made another call.... gave all my details and the guy said oh yes your app was received today....I queried wtf (obvs didn't swear but wanted to) told him I've had a letter to confirm scan date 27th April he then backtracked and said oh yes it was scanned in April. Time scale is 8/10 weeks new claims you should hear anytime soon as your now week 10.... couldn't tell me date they are working on.. am wondering was his initial comment about yesterday's date meaning it's been passed to dm... although he wouldn't confirm either way... #confused #feelinghopeful

kinzzzz · 07/07/2022 07:59

For anyone wondering how it affects UC we have an extra £132 thats not backdated as we didnt know it would affect the UC

Kirstiiee · 07/07/2022 10:58

scan date 22nd April.
on week 11.
phoned for a update and it’s with a case manager. (I guess that’s someone who makes the decision).

Kirstiiee · 07/07/2022 10:59
